I pretty much stand with Dori. Seattle has become a hard left-wing ciudad which explains a lot of the problems. No question none of the candidates for any office gives any indication they will improve anything.

I will join what appears to be the vast majority of persons responding here and say: I have enormous respect and admiration for gays and the fact they contribute beyond measure to the arts and to many other endeavors. But I am a straight white male and I do find the image of two men kissing, fondling one another, etc. to be repellent. I would oppose any measure to attach a penalty to such behavior but I also would hope this behavior would be consigned to an area beyond my purview. I do not think this kind of attitude is subject to alteration in the same way I do not think actions like eating human feces will ever become au courant. That is just the way it is. And it will not change.

You have to understand racism is something only white people can be involved with. It is not possible for a non-white to be racist. Whether you like it or not that is the accepted conventional wisdom. Regrettable but it is the true state of things in the US today. We have let this come about over the course of the last 5 or 6 decades.

Whatever the truth of Trump's assertion it was a dumb thing to say. It just gives more ammunition to the opposition. And they have plenty already.

They came by my place also. Obviously a scam. We've been targetted because of our demographic. Many Magnolians are intimidated by this kind of approach and buy what they are selling just to avoid any sense of guilt or perhaps for a more dubious rationale. I don't want these people around but as long as the sidewalks are public there is little to be done. Just say no!

Went to Mulleadys for lunch. Surprisingly good music, reasonably well-attended. But was perplexed by the service of food on paper plates with plastic utensils. Not to mention the somewhat meager portions. But it was good, if meager. Makes one wonder what is happening at Mulleadys. Dishwasher broken, some employees laid off, some other problem?

Video cameras are an excellent idea. And, as stated, we need only three. If it became common knowledge that all cars entering or leaving Magnolia were recorded by camera the disincentive to burglarize in Magnolia would be a major deal. Let's get on it with the cops.

Magnolia Voice is great. You were the prime news source on this story for all of Seattle. Thanks for the outstanding effort. You provide a wonderful resource for Magnolia, Seattle's prime wildlife neighborhood - only 8 minutes from downtown. A wonderful place to live even considering the cougars.

I also had my car 'egged' about the same time. But, fortunately, only on the outside and I was able to wash it off. The residue left a slight bit of stain but since it was an older car I won't lose sleep over it. My car was parked on the street - Magnolia Boulevard.
