I know this is an old thread, but when I run php-fpm I get location based errors, are you available for help? failed to open error_log (/usr/var/log/php-fpm.log): No such file or directory (2)

Thanks for all the help, updated homebridge ui this morning, and now the caddy URL is working...time to actually explore and add some devices, thanks for all the help!

There's not much in my caddyfile, certainly nothing blocking anything. I have a couple other services running on caddy, like sabnzbd and such running fine...can post my whole caddyfile if that will help?

logging in at http://192.168.178.4:8080/ works fine also..shows QR and status

hmm https://homebridge.mainfram... shows

"Websocket failed to connect. Is the server running?"

but http://192.168.178.4:8080/logs shows me

"Cannot show logs. "log" option is not configured correctly in your Homebridge config.json file."

caddyfile is

do i need to make any changes with the homebridge config?

defaults are still in place...just starting out with all this stuff! thank you so much for the reply!

Can you flesh this out a bit more? I'm trying to get this to work and I can load up homebridge but when I login, the QR code doesn't load and the status doesn't show up.

I don't have the websocket part...what is socket.io ?

Customer service is a new currency! Great article, I've been paying more attention to #2 in my work, and rewarding those who frequent/honor you in some way, not only pays dividends but provides a real sense of authenticity and growth. Great stuff.

When/If you get to that 2nd moment of doom, I'd like to partner with you. It's my mission to help starters with their business websites, all the confusing technology parts. Anyway, love the on-the-hook mentality here. I've been considering this scary thing for a while, giving away all my services and digital products, for free, at least people first purchases of them, even if they cost me hours and hours and hours of work...why because I think once you work with me you won't go anywhere else.

This post gave me the idea to do that, but also put the buyer on the hook to accomplish their goals, whats if I gave it all away if they didn't abandon their sites, or they made their first sales, what if I built their website for free, only if they made their first sale, or hit some measurable target, then they'd be overjoyed, would most certainly come back, and get their first work from me for free, if they failed, well they would pay normal pricing and continue on, hopefully more prepared for the future. Likely though, both me and audience would do more succeeding. Hmm cool thoughts

Cool. I signed up. I already use a daily journal, and even made a website for myself that follows the 5 minute journal process...but I do need a shot of motivation, and I'm interested in the take on having that journal process give you motivation. It helps, being grateful helps, thinking about what to focus on really narrowly helps...but against the backdrop of life sometimes...I'm still against the wall with zero motivation...and so some chatting about that might just be nice.

Hey Danielle, made my day seeing this mention here. I'll also get that page fixed up, a redesign a while back broke the inline videos. The conference looked awesome! I want to take the family to Thailand someday in the next few years!

Funny this came along as I was just doing some writing to get back to the roots and review some of these stages of lifestyle design. Obviously business is that one that goes on and on, but this brought me back to those good ole eye opening days, and we need those throughout our lives. Great stuff.

I like the NPS and have read about it. I bundle that specific question into a feedback survey.

I'm curious as to what you'll come up with as to how to increase it, as the NPS seems to measure your experience AFTER working with you, we tend to, not always but tend to only recommend, or fervently [7-10] recommended things we've used, and loved. So you'll need to increase people who have worked with you on something meaningful.

I agree and enjoyed the part about word of mouth is still the best, it's practically the sole reason I'm still around and loving what I do...because of the "generalist" nature of "IT Support for websites, newsletters, and sales systems" ....it's really really really hard to resonate with fans on a homepage...easier so on a specific pain sales page, but much harder to be like "hey, we're the best place ever to go to if you have any type of website, email marketing, sales system tech issue, or interwebs problems, really!" ... but that chat bubble thing, that's totally it... "hey i'm having problems with my business site, it's doing weird things " --- "oh, i know just the dude for that!!" ... YES -- how do i bottle that on a homepage call to action hah

Great example of context specific ways to use a simple tool, that applies to lots of people. I love that, and how useful it is, it's what I strive to do at my site when I talk about diff tools and websites...it's not just having a tool but knowing how and when to use it #amirite!
