The business case should already be stated and justified, particularly because the purpose of the user story is to lay out the work to be done.

Another concern is about the persona-alignment. What do you do when a user story affects multiple personas? What we've done in the past is to keep the statement "user-focused" and then we link out to all of the affected personas. So although not spelled out in the story statement, it becomes one of the "sections" that we address.

Re: Update No. 1 — Coined | Backer's Club

Hoping you can find a way to replace batteries. Nice gadget idea, but unrealistic to have to throw it away after 2 years of use.

Re: It's MY mind!: I'm Not Bad, I Just Suck at Drawing

http://www.engadget.com/201...

Re: It's MY mind!: I'm Not Bad, I Just Suck at Drawing

Also, get "Paper" for your iPad and tell me what you think.

Re: It's MY mind!: I'm Not Bad, I Just Suck at Drawing

My day job is in the "design" field, so we always try to be creative. Thing is, I too suck. A few books that I have if you're ever interested include:
* http://www.danroam.com/the-...
* http://www.drawright.com/

Re: Slay Your Dragons Before Breakfast

Thanks for your encouragement. I am not a morning person...or an evening person, for that matter, yet I am getting up earlier to incorporate exercise into my life.

I would encourage you to check out YouVersion's Bible offering (youversion.com). You can have your Bible on your iPhone or iPad, there's a ton of reading plans, you can switch between versions, and there is a social component (accountability, etc.). You can even listen to it! The one thing I like about it is that you can also do journaling. Personally, my quiet time has gotten so much richer following the Life Journal S.O.A.P. method (http://lifejournal.cc/).

Re: Emergency Announcement System – EAS

What you're proposing is a "push" method of communication on pay services. Radio and tv have been historically unpaid services that are regulated by the federal government. In addition, using the medium of unpaid radio or tv theoretically reaches all people, including the impoverished.

With that said, I agree with you that tv and radio may not be the primary method for many to learn of an emergency. But do we need to add some new policy or method or can we use existing methods? If something were truly an alert, given the information age that we are in, it would be pushed to many of the information channels you describe if possible.

Re: Ze Frank on Participation

I haven't been a huge follower of Ze Frank, but it appears his audience allows him to conduct a variety of social experiments. For instance, consider his experiment regarding online identity: http://www.zefrank.com/zesb... He took over two of his reader's Facebook accounts (with their permission).
