Totally agreed. John has a manic, "I need to get this all out in one breath" kind of delivery that gives the show energy even without crowd noise. He seems to have somehow mastered the art of comedy in an empty room.

I think one thing that could be said about John is that he never seems to be going for a generic audience. His jokes get so specific at times they could be said to neglect the audience completely 😁 But he's never guilty of talking down to the viewer, at the very least.

Lol... gotta get the Alien Anthology blu-ray set. It has feature-length docos for each film 🙂

It's also on the "Quadrilogy" DVD set, but that version was (would you believe it...) edited by order of the studio to not make them look like such bad guys.

The BR version reinstates the cut footage.
