I love Redbox and my ONLY problem with them is that they now offer free movie Monday once a month. Otherwise, I think they have a great business model. The convenience of 24,000 dispensers worked to my advantage when I noticed as I was driving out of state that I'd forgotten to return my DVDs only to look up and see a Redbox kiosk at a grocery store off of the highway. Cameron, you're not wrong at all. It's kind of funny, but it almost sounds like a reverse affirmative action. Thankfully, there is a space such as BW 2.0 (yep, I'm biased but honest) to share the journey.

I've been reading this report as I'm writing an interview with a black founder. One of the things that has been articulated to me is that most black founders don't want to be initially identified as "black." They want their work to stand on its own merit. My hope is that this post and the report encourage more black founding teams to identify themselves and even come together for support and to create an ongoing conversation. Great post.

In defense of the departed personnel, I should have added that even when there are competent hires the case remains that if the company has no understanding of digital strategy and the use of multiple platforms, then ECDs wouldn't stand a chance for succeeding in that environment.

Hey sweetie pie! Love your comment. I remember when I visited your university and had a conversation with one of the deans about the lack of hardware available on-campus and the curriculum. Cos put a lot of money into that one facility with the goal of creating competitive students. Not to say it can't happen because it can.

Actually, don't feel sorry for the way Wade announced it. From a tech standpoint, it was not only wise but pretty cool. That TV thing LeBron is doing is great for hype but it's not helpful from a PR perspective. I like how Wade and my favorite NBA geek Chris Bosh did it. Wouldn't be surprised if it weren't Bosh's idea.
