As the SNP vote is entirely concentrated in Scotland, translates into almost 50% of the vote where it counts and with your FPP system and voter distribution upto 50 seats. It is highly probable that Labour and SNP together will have enough seats to form government with the SDLP and Plaid Cymru as backup. Its just arithmetic.

Re: MTV Video Music Awards 2014 Live-Blog

From Fienberg's HitFix bio re what he writes about "... It is not "feeling a little bit down" for a day or so. Clinical depression is an illness that people don't get over by watching cheery videos. At it's worst it is severely debilitating, as shown in the video, that can last for months, years or a lifetime.

Re: Britain's most influential tweeters

Probably the most insightful tweet regarding this article is:

"... if I'm influential the world's in trouble".

From whom? Ignoring this fact won't make the issue go away. A little bit of empathy might make you understand this and why powerful coming out stories make a difference to the victims.

Re: Fans praise actor’s Coming Out video

Question: Why are coming out stories important? Twenty? five? one? Considering gay people make up 3% - 10% of the population, depending on whose producing the stats, shouldn't TV reflect that? And not by constantly making gayness front and centre in the storyline, just part of it. Straight characters can be "a crashing bore" too but their boringness is never linked to their straightness. To say that about gay characters smacks of bias.

Re: GQ receives threatening tweets from One Direction fans over 1D covers

I had to scroll up check the newspaper title because I wasn't sure if I was reading The Independent or The Dailysunmirrorexpress Mail.

Re: One Direction hits the Maverik Center

Clearly David Burger was the wrong reviewer for this concert.
