BTW, I have logged further down the page that I suffer from this bug in IE8. The demo works fine, but my ASP.Net MVC application suffers from this. I can probably provide a sample page with the problem if you like.

I have what I believe is the same problem. The demo works fine, but my solution when I click on the item to select the list disappears and the input is not updated (keyboard selection works fine). My call is as follows:
