This might sound like a stupid comment, but... Aren't those Samsung lines always going to be limited to 10 people, while lines in front of Apple Stores can easily reach hundreds? Isn't it always going to look like they are still "loosing" despite of all the $2 efforts?

EDIT - You guys just opened my eyes, it's 50, not 10! Monday through Friday, 10 phones a day... 50 on Monday, 40 on Tuesday, 30 on Wednesday, 20 on... well, you got the idea... :-)

I am an Apple fanboy, Mac and iPod and iPhone and everything else Apple. But this is a seeexy device! I want it! Doing a quick math, it has a 170-180 ppi pixel density, which is not fantastic, but pretty decent. All I want is a 300+ ppi tablet to make it usable for reading.

Some people may get emotional about Google using the luge logo and I perfectly understand. This logo was probably already pre-cooked and scheduled to be deployed today and nobody at Google noticed the flaw and/or realized how bad the backlash could get...

I was the owner of Hollywood/1406 but Yahoo! also shut down some neighborhoods a few years ago, forcing homeowners to move to the boring http://www.geocities.com/ya... schema. I was one of the affected by this change. Am I going to be able to regain access to my old Hollywood address? It was home of the very first Woody Woodpecker (the cartoon) fan site ever, the World Wide Woody Woodpecker Website.

It is natural that Hulu and some other online media providers switch to a subscription-based model. Last.fm has recently made the move and although I don't know how it reflected in their actual user base, was necessary for the survival of the company as a business. Hulu on the other hand generates WAY less pageviews and the ad model is a little different from that on Last.fm, for example. I think it makes sense to charge for their content, specially if the price is competitive with those from Cable/DTH.

On Windows7, is it THAT great or was Vista just the "stinky goat in the room" that has just stepped out? :)

Quite interesting to learn that the iPod Touch beats the iPhone in mobile devices Wi-Fi usage... Being an iPod Touch and an iPhone user myself, I do agree that having those devices online is what gives them the power. But I am really surprised that Android isn't on the list... Is this really accurate and trustable?

Exactly! That's the point! Both TomTom, Navigon and CoPilot will be using the hardware we have already paid for. And considering they will probably charge the yearly (approximately) $100 to keep our maps up-to-date, anything over $70 will sound abusive to me. Not even mentioning AT&T's turn-by-turn application which is "supposedly free" but charges a monthly fee.

I don't know if all the hype on the TomTom app is deserved. Just take a look at Navigon @ $70 and specially at CoPilot @ $35. They look pretty decent for a much lower price...
