I somehow agree with your point but, to better put Tagabukid2's comment, it can be quite hard to place 220,000 residents to a safer place. 1,000 is quite manageable but it can be hard to place more than 200,000 people as there might be no space big enough to accommodate them all. We also have to keep in mind that even the evacuation centers were destroyed.

I am just curious, the description in the picture says its in Divine Word but the blanket says "Davao Regional Hospital Tagum City". Was the victim from Tacloban and transferred to Davao?

It's not about denying that the government is corrupt. Do your part, pay your taxes...and then do your best to help those in need, to provide jobs, to be an upright citizen. Government and the people holding position would change after a few year's time. Practice your right to vote and put the right people in position. At the end of the day, you can proudly say, you did your best.

I don't know what your angst is all about. I was just asking and trying to make the other two understand your comment. Now that you have mentioned what connection you are talking about, it makes things clearer.

Next time, do take time to make longer and more detailed sentences so that you would not be misconstrued. I believe the other two are now able to understand that you were talking about the German producers and not the Thalidomide victims.

Iha, are you sure you are in the US?

MOther's Day and Father's Day is not a federal holiday. May work during that day. What Mon Tulfo is pointing at is that there are too many days off from work here in the Philippines. I do not agree with his point that we are lazy but I do agree that we have too many holidays. That is not beneficial not only to employers but to employees as well especially if they are paid a daily wage.

There are plenty of jobs for Psychology and Optometry graduates, that I am sure of. Majority of companies need an HR personnel and they usually look for Psychology graduates. On the other hand companies dealing in eyewear are always in need of Optometrist. There are also clinics who need Optometrists for their patients. Clinics also need Med Techs, not just here but also abroad
