We rehabbed a widow's home! It was so surreal to me to see so many
unite. Our church and members from New Life as well. I was blessed to be a part of it!! Thank you everyone in involved for the stirring in your heart to make a difference in the community, all the planning that went into it, all the hardworking volunteers and especially God for the opportunity!

Wow!

Re: The One Prayer Offering - Blog - One Prayer

This is for Stef Swindell..... I just wanted to say that I was blessed by your posting. I love that your kids and friends doing the lemonade stand! I believe that's what this special offering is all about. It doesnt matter the amount, its the attitude behind it.... and that attitude is priceless and inspiring! So thank you for sharing that. I know you will all be blessed for it!

I ask a special prayer for this offering...that people's hearts are burdened by the need for these churches in these countries and that we all contribute what we feel led to contribute for this awesome mission. I also pray for the lives of those who these monies/churches will go to help. I pray that they find Christ and their lives be so richly blessed that they have no choice but to share it and spread it through their nation.

Re: Daily Devotional by Mark Beeson - Blog - One Prayer

We had this discussion in Studio 45 a few months ago. I am an emcee on Sunday mornings for 4th and fifth grade (for those of you who don't attend Lifechurch.tv). The kids were amazing through that lesson.
I asked them what it meant to go "into their room and close the door". At first, they didn't really
understand that the true meaning isn't literal. They don't actually have to DO just that. What I
believe that means is that we have to eliminate the distractions in our lives at our time of prayer.
That when we talk to God we are focused on only him. So, then the kids would offer that they would have to turn off the t.v. or their video games and have quiet time with God.

Further, I believe it means that God isn't interested in the versed prayer that we all sometimes fall into when we are praying aloud...

What does it look like for me? Well, what I am striving for more and more is carving out the time during the day to have quiet time, reflect on the devotionals, the talk notes or whatever I feel led to read about and pray. I have tried to commit to that esp. through this series to honor my commitment of "walking with God."

I tell the kids in Studio 45 that there is no wrong or right way to pray - all that matters to God is that we talk to him. I love to be reminded that God already knows what is in our hearts and that the prayer is just another way to grow intimate with him and show him that we honor and love him...like we would anyone in our lives that matter to us.

Thank you Pastor Beeson.

Re: Pray for Our Pastors - Blog - One Prayer

Pastor Prayer - First I pray for Pastor Craig's prayer - That we all become one.
I was moved by the first video we saw of Pastor Craig interviewing people on the street and their views of Christians. It hurt my heart to know that to many we have a very negative impact. It is my prayer that I contribute to changing that in my daily circle. I also pray that Pastor Craig is filled with the movement of the Spirit through the joining of all these churches to Unite! I pray for his family as they support him as well.

Locally, I pray for Pastor Chris. I pray that he is blessed by the immediate reaction of the Tulsa membership to this "movement". I pray that he find encouragement and support in knowing that
his constant efforts continue to inspire others to have a daily relationship with God!

I pray for Pastor Aaron and the rest of the crew involved in our micro mission this weekend. As we truly live out what it means to unite and come together for others in need. I know that God will bless this weekend and change lives for many.

I also pray for Lifestock!! That those being baptized will experience the true beauty of becoming
a believer and witness first-hand the fellowship that comes of it! OH, and IF it is NOT raining (which is would be a miracle in itself) that we all wear sunblock!

While I am at, I pray for Derrick and the band too! Rock on with your badselves!!

Re: Daily Devotional by Dino Rizzo - Blog - One Prayer

I live this out daily. Well, let me rephrase that, I try to live this out daily. I find that other peoples' moods affect my day and my constant prayer is to be delivered from negativity and exude kindness and patience. Ironically, I prayed to be released from my darkened heart toward an individually based on a situation that happened the day before and forgave that person and the first thing that happened when I walked in the door in the morning was that they apologized for their behavior. And, although this is a very common situation for me, I pray that the continued growth in my relationship with God will help me be better prepared for these situations and be proactive instead of reactive.

I strive to be a light - to be different; to make a difference!

Re: Daily Devotional by Steven Furtick - Blog - One Prayer

Action: if the desire your praying about isn't enough to you to action, how can it be enough to move God?
All I have to say is "wow"! My prayer during this series specifically is that he changes me, that I am moved into action to make a difference in my daily life. To WALK with him instead of talking about it. This prayer also goes for my family, my church, my friends that he changes our lives and moves us to unite and change the face of Christians.
Thank you Pastor Furtick!
