its says HER publicist notified her after the Gauntlet published CM's reply as a news item. I dont see where the Gauntlet notified her at all. I have never known her to walk away either, but to be invited to be a guest blogger and then ambushed is not worth her time. People can go read Otep's own blog, www.imnotamonster.com

yes, they commented. otep has always been fine as far as i know with comments and has interacted with comments. but to post a comment as a NEWS item Open Letter to Otep? That was an ambush.

well all i know is what i read. and when Otep was blogging for Headbangers Ball Blog, hers was the most read and the most commented. She was their guest blogger for months. Brought lots of OTEP fans to HBB. So this could have been a great thing for the Gauntlet. I was looking forward to seeing more of her blog posts. I guess they didnt really need or want her for more than one blog post....or they wouldnt have done what they did. Maybe it wasnt planned, but they saw a chance for some chaos and took it.

maybe Jason Fisher is ok, but he could have at least notified OTEP that he was going to make her guest blogging invitation into a debate. still doesnt sit right with me. has he done this with other guest bloggers? or only OTEP? why not just let CM's reply be a comment like all of ours? So CM is from Jason's site? WOW! Attacking a guest blogger on a site you write for? hmmmm thats how to get more guest bloggers for sure. COME be a guest blogger for our site and we will have our own writers attack your blog. yep works for me! not.

yeah easy to call her that on the internet isnt it?! Otep replied as fitting because the Gauntlet ambushed her by posting cm's reply as an open letter. the gauntlet was trying to stir all this up for publicity for their site....and we all fell for it! shame on the gauntlet. they could have handled this more professionally as in a debate. otep is amazing!

As I said in my comment below....looks like the Gauntlet set Otep up for this. Not very professional. Were they going for publicity to get more readers?! I ONLY found this site thru google alerts for OTEP.

well then CM you should take it up with The Gauntlet staff. They used you to ambush Otep without even telling either of you. shame on the Gauntlet. They invite Otep to be a guest blogger then try, TRY, to ambush her with your comment as an Open Letter....not very professional, especially if as you say you meant it satirical. They didnt tell her that for sure as you can see from her response. GAUNTLET set you both up!

I LOVE the ENTIRE blog post Otep!!! I miss your blogging on Headbangers but you were their guest for quite a while!! I now read your imnotamonster.com blog I hope people GET IT that you are poking fun at censorship. You always tickle my brain and make me think! I am proud to see you not following blindly behind any leader, but instead EXPECTING and DEMANDING more from them. Obama is still the best choice in my opinion but we as Americans still need to expect and want more from our president and keep it stated. Well done Otep! WELL DONE!!! I am not sure the Gauntlet is the site for you though. Not with their ambush tactics of asking someone like you to be their guest blogger and then post a comment back to you as newsworthy????
