s02ep03 - Mettle "First battle Blue Thunder versus Metallicock. Activate!" Always loved this episode and my jaw dropped when I discovered my mate (who was in the real Robot Wars) and was approached for his robot to feature in this episode, but he turned it down (!!!!!?????) at the time he'd never heard of the show and didn't want to associate with anything dodgy.

Ok here's how it would play out:

I'd get as many tinned beans as possible and live on a barge! I'd be way ahead of the game, while all survivors are running for cover / hiding in locked rooms with the light off, I'd be livin la vida loca on my barge watching the disintegration of society like it's car crash TV. I'd need enough tinned beans to not come back to shore until all zombies have run out of food to eat, whereupon I would triumphantly come back to shore and find something else to eat as I might have gone off beans by then.

The dialogue was a bit ropey - I guess the film might be dragged down by the weight of the subject. If every scene plays out like that it'll come across a bit cheesy.

The more the merrier I say. Bada is more midrange market device experience with a high screen to display it on. They should hurry up and announce serious integration with their TVs, that would shake things up for the non-smartphone crowd when upgrading a handset.

Be interested to read how you get on. I have been on mobile broadband at home for just over a year (more laziness on my part for not setting up phoneline/broadband package).

I originally used the first MiFi from Three (on the juicy 15gb a month deal) but found that not being able to charge & operate at the same time + too many random dropped connections to be just too much. I switched to the Samsung Wave which I found:

1. Holds the connection longer
2. Charges and operates at the same time
3. Has 1500 mAh battery when on the move.

Don't forget issues around generally not having a landine, can make for awkward red tape situations.

Great article Steve. I do though feel people also choose nicknames to preserve a level of uniqueness. They might also steer towards nicknames that encompass a little more what the individual is about. Bob Smith might want to have the nickname 'handle' of LinuxBob rather than BobSmith123 because 122 other Bob Smith's have beaten him to other combinations of his name.
