If we can connect to the right people, something like this could be a lot of fun. Glynis C. suggested we build some for charity too. Maybe build and auction some off. Honestly, in the beginning I was just using Tumblr because it was so easy to use. I've been on Tumblr since March of 2007, so it's been a fun ride to see the company grow. Now, the community is the fun part of it all.

So, I'd first find out which of my friends are on. (I used twitter)

Next, I look through the lists my friends are following and pick people I know, or interesting people.

By then you'd be following a pretty good group of people. Now, it's about finding the people you see reblogged. I've got a great group. Go to http://rexbarrett.tumblr.com and see who I follow. You'll have some laughs!

Re: , The one where @laniebarrett joins in and discusses...

YOU DON'T KNOW :)

Re: , The one where @laniebarrett joins in and discusses...

This'll be great! It's killer for that for sure. I use Ping.fm to do it, reason being, I hate using email to do it. For some reason I don't like sending email on my iPhone. I don't mind using the Ping.fm app though. I haven't a clue why, it just IS. :)

Try out ping.fm a bit, it's POWERFUL for sure. More so than Posterous, it is very helpful when managing multiple facebook pages, twitter accounts, etc...

Re: , The one where @laniebarrett joins in and discusses...

This was a really fun episode to do! Lanie adds a lot to the video, I'll probably have her in them more often. She's good!

Re: , Take a look at why I think Tumblr.com is...

One of the things I dislike about Posterous is how the pictures in gallery get posted. The full size images have to load and a page full of images take way too long for me.

It's funny that you think Posterous is not as clunky, I feel the opposite. haha It's all preference for sure.

I thought the Tumblr community wouldn't be a big draw, but found that they help get SO MUCH of my information across the web. It's amazing.

Thanks for pitching in... I also use Posterous, but just find myself consistently using Tumblr so much more. Great points though!

Re: , Take a look at why I think Tumblr.com is...

Which service do you like better? Posterous or Tumblr? Let's talk about it after the jump.

Re: , Take a look at why I think Tumblr.com is...

Wish we could have gotten those to work out, but glad this is working! Now we can include a ton more people in the mix. Geez, things got busy and are just now feeling not-so-insane. Sorry. :)

Yeah, I've used posterous.com for a LONG time. Here is why I chose Tumblr over posterous.
1. Tumblr's back end for posting is fantastic.
2. Tumblr's design and theming options, for me, are easier to manipulate and get to look how I want them to look.
3. And this is probably the biggest... The Tumblr community is FANTASTIC.
4. Tumblr's iPhone app is better than Posterous'. Sure Posterous has great built in email functionality, but honestly, I hate composing my stuff via email on my phone for some reason. It just feels clunky compared to the Tumblr iPhone app.
5. The integration with other social sites is a draw to me, although the custom email addresses you have with posterous are pretty freaking cool.
6. Did I mention how much I love the Tumblr community! It rocks.

Re: , Take a look at why I think Tumblr.com is...

Tumblr is surprisingly full featured for a "simple" blogging platform.
