Thanks for visiting and sharing the memory! I am in awe of Larry's talent. His work with LaBelle was so mind-blowing. He truly had an impact.

possibly. but have you gotten a sense of the popular wearable aesthetic? bruce sterling's right to call it just blinking LEDs. of course, performers like rihanna and ok go LIKE blinking LEDs because it's makes for a great stage show (see moritz waldemeyer). i'm sure if gaga wore this, she'd totes cross-promote via haus of gaga a lingerie app. then again, haus of gaga -- you know who's behind that, yeah? nicola formichetti -- creative director of dazed & confused, fash director for vogue hommes japan, etc. v. haute. wearables need to make these connections (athough the maker culture links are nothing to sniff at). i'd hyper-link but disqus doesn't allow it. kinda annoying! but thx for putting that out there. it's a valuable pt.

“It’s not fashion, it’s an anti-fashion shoot," Jones tells Tim Noakes in the cover story. "He’s shooting me like art.” Chris Cunningham’s inspiration came from his 2005 short film “Rubber Johnny”: ‘When I made the images for Rubber Johnny, I wanted to make some Nubian versions to accompany them. For me, Grace has the strongest iconography of any artist in music. She’s definitely the most inspiring person I’ve worked with so far.”

Although, maybe something like A-1 (Fashion popculture theorist?).

There needs to be a more defined hierarchy anyways - I don't see incisive and quirky blogger next to advertorial multiple rs-fed blogger... or personal closet blogger with a lookbook.nu account versus personal closet blogger who is always in H&M (loove H&M, but really, what else are you adding to the collective style counsel? You're not am MK with an Influence coffee table book).
