It took me back to the hundreds of stories just like this with raising my own kids. I wanted to give you a big 'mom' hug. You did great! You will have that happen to you many times along the way. Your child's honesty and knowledge will bump up against the places we silence and shame truth and innocence. This is especially true around the truth and innocence of our bodies and sexuality. By keeping bodies and sexuality in the shadows, in silence and shame, we keep it "nasty", "dirty", etc. Bless you, Dale and your sweet little guy as you march forward doing your best to stay in the light.
