It is trivial so why did you even bother commenting on it unless it was a poorly conceived slight on Obama? If it was a waste of time, what do you call your response to it? Just admit it-you used the story about the dog to vent about there being *gasp* a black man as president!

And as I pointed out, there is a link to the dog's origins and our community. This is not NYC or LA-there is not a comparable abundance of local news so an article as such is run. All that energy expended on a trivial (in your words) concern; if so trivial, why did you even bother to comment other than to use it as an expression of your dislike of Obama (which of course, you can freely have but try and have substance behind your dislike of the man-the fact he got his kids a dog shows you're grasping at straws).

Did the addition of that small story actually distract you from reading about every event or do you, in actuality, subscribe to the Palin method (... read most of them," "all of 'em," and "any of 'em.")

Allow me to clarify, as it appears you did not grasp the theme of my previous post. I found it ironic the blogger sarcastically used the term "genius" to describe another when in fact, he misspelled a simple word. I never said I'm free of mistakes but if I were to insult another, I would ensure my statement was mistake-free.

Your emotional comment makes little sense. He's held to the same standard as anyone else. He may have to face consequences from legal organizations, etc, as he voluntarily entered such engagements but his sentence is based on what he did, not who he is.

But you are right with the use of the word "police"; the state government holds a general "police power", i.e., the power to protect the health, safety or general welfare of state residents. Probably not the exact use of the word you had in mind.
