"Everyone comes through New York, eventually." My mother moved here and never left. To me the pace, food, and diversity that is NYC is normal. I wonder what it's like for people who visit. As big as it is it does have a neighborhood vide. I amazed at the number of people "I run into," in this big city. I spied David Beckham ( ok it was a silver statue), an actual friend, and two Jonas Brothers in span of two days and within a block of each other in the Flat Iron.

Hinsch's Vanilla is classic. Although it's not ice cream, the Italian Ice at at Savarese on New Utrecht & 60th is pretty good.

1. Craft Night at Etsy Labs - Most Mondays from 4pm-8pm. You can do the project of the night. Bring your own project or come up with your own project once you get there. Great for all level of crafters. and it's absolutely FREE.

2. Churros in Sunset Park. Raymond sells at OLPH Church (5th Avenue between 58th & 59th St) following Mass on Sunday mornings. Also sells at corner of 45th St on 5th Avenue. 2 churros for $1.00.

3. Circus Fruits is a great place to shop. Ft. Hamilton Parkway at 60th St. Plus they sell Prince Polo chocolate bars 2 for $1.00.

4. Jean Danet, awesome Black and White cookies. 76th St and 5th Ave, also available at Bakery on corner of New Utrecht Ave and 60th St. Under $2.00

5. Walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. FREE

6. Walk or picnic in the Narrows Botanical Garden on Shore Road south of Bay Ridge Avenue. FREE
