I always say Create, Create, Create. People will eventually be attracted to you if you have something to offer them. I now make it a point to post on my blog and write an article for submission to one of the various article directories every day. The networking stuff is not important unless you have fresh and useful content to offer. I ask myself, "Have I helped someone else with my actions today?" If I can answer yes, then I go on to twitting or myspacing or facebooking, or any other networking tools.

Ryan

Re: 8 Blogs I read when I'm stressed about funding my company

Hi Penelope,

Thanks for sharing these blogs. And they have. I don't view it as a numbers game but a relationships game. People will always be attracted to you if you provide new, fresh information for them to learn from every single day. Parents should be responsible for addressing their children on these issues. Rather than saying "don't do it", or worse, not addressing the topic of sex at all, they have to face their fears and tell their children to be responsible. Sex education is one thing but it's the parents job to teach their kids about the birds and the bees.

Ryan

Re: New York Post issues qualified apology for chimp cartoon

Hi Alan,

I feel that The Post did the right thing. Their cartoons are often very witty but this one went over the line. The intent was not racist as it was just a shot at Obama and the stimulus bill. Obviously this could have been interpreted to be racist. This is understandable. The Post did what it needed to in apologizing and moving on. I would have preferred is they had just issued a blanket apology. The editorial ego obtruded on that one. Just apologize and let go.

Ryan

Re: Interest In Slumdog Content Peaks Post Oscars; Caller Tune Subscriptions Jump

The internet amazes me. I am of the school where content is always king. We can become extremely analytical, but the basis of all wealth creation is providing a service to others. This service includes what valuable information which you provide on your website to expand the lives of others. Always have a service oriented mindset, starting with the content which you will publish.
I feel that it'a all about quality first, then quantity. Publishing useless or non-pertinent information will results in small returns in the long-run. People want real value. How can you add to their life? How will your content do that? Asking yourself these questions will move your mindset from "how can I improve my ranking" to "what kind of service am I offering, right down to the value which my content provides."

Ryan

Re: A Little Fantasy Goes A Long Way

You are practicing an active form of visualization. To stay in a positive frame of mind we only need to follow our passions or partake in "feel good" activities. Monster truck shows give you that adrenaline rush which gets your feeling great. Balance is the key here. I started using twitter recently and have decided to designate 2 time frames for my twittering: a short session in the morning and evening.
