My favorite tip is Get Specific Sooner. It's something I'm striving to do when interacting with others. I like how Kare points out that most of us start with generalizations first but if we're specific right off the bat, it shows what the other person needs most.

I'm obsessed with Halloween. I love pumpkins, little kid costumes and scary movies (not too scary). I also love celebrating the dead...the people who have come before me and paved the road. I'm grateful to them!

I would kiss my beautiful family every day, go for a walk through my gardens and I would paint knowing that a new adventure was just around the corner.

Art, art supplies and haiku poetry. Anything else can be beautiful and temporarily necessary but it usually falls to the wayside. These two things have been constant in my life.

There were two. The first was 1981: The GoGo's opened for The Police in Providence, RI. It was my first live concert. I had left mormonism for Smith College and I was experiencing everything! My second was Sting at Red Rocks in Colorado. It was chilly sweater weather. The environment was gorgeous and Sting's voice rode the mist like a sea dragon. A truly incredible night!
