the bag is from civilianlab you can google them ("chestpack"). I had to cut out a couple of things in side, but I like it because I can wear it on the side, or on the chest.

Andre, I don't think that Google is actually to blame for the Froyo update issues. The problem is very real, but it is fundamentally due to the fact that each handset maker can tweak the source code. Of course, they did so without preparing properly for the upcoming updates, and the net result is that they often drop the ball because the handsets get a sales spike, then fade off. Their logic is probably "let's put the engineers on the new product".

There's also a new qualification process at the carrier level, which takes time and is required for each update. Again , the carrier probably favors new products that will generate short-term sales.

If everyone was running the "plain Android" like the Nexus One, things would be easier -- although you still get hardware fragmentation.

It's a matter of preferences of course, but design is one of the main reason why MBPs sell. Obviously, the Vaio Z is a very cool looking computer too. That's why I also mention it in my MBP and MB Air review :)

The N7 has a price point that's extremely competitive, and we've heard that Google will try to introduce even cheaper products this year

The question is "why" they were not impressed. Some complain that the phone can't be rolled like a magazine. Others say that it should be more "bendable". Would those two attributes make it a "better" smartphone? Probably not. It's best to focus on real-world usage, and not on rhetoric :)

The on-screen buttons can come and go. Some Android handset already have this in place, so except for the extra tap to make them appear, there is no real downsides.
