Those who are defending Martin don't know him very well. I've dealt with him extensively, and he always has excuses, always has someone else to blame, always has a story about how everyone is out to get him.

I used to be on his side, but I've caught him in too many lies to defend him any longer. He would be both embarrassing and dangerous as an elected official.

Thousands of people bike every day, and it should be encouraged. Would you prefer that we just keep putting more and more cars on the roads and keep paving over every square foot we can? Perhaps you'd like Kirkland to be just like the Los Angeles area, but most of us don't.

Sorry, but just saying "I didn't mean to offend anyone" doesn't cut it. The fact is, intentional or not, it was a very sexist comment and he deserved to be called out for it.

My mother is quite adept on her PC because she's willing to learn, while my father is useless -- because he's a stubborn old fart. I don't think that's at all uncommon.

I went to a site that displayed the annoying message you show. But I was in fact using IE7 (work computer). If this code can't correctly detect the browser being used it will backfire: All it did was piss me off.

What??? His point was a simple one: If there were such a thing as a totally unbiased judge, who makes decisions based strictly on the law with no regard for their own knowledge, experience, background, sense of fairness, etc., then there would be no need for nine Supreme Court justices. We could just have a single Supreme Justice to make all rulings.

That would be as ridiculous as your argument.
