As someone who is agnostic, the idea of ambushing someone about their faith when they're there to talk music is reprehensible. I would never want someone to disrespect me or my beliefs (or lack thereof) in such a manner. Why do people insist on being jerks in order to get their point across? Brandon is obviously happy in his life and with his faith, so why make him defend it? He's not harming anyone. Let him be.

Who cares? Those of us in society who want to make sure things like this don't continue happening. Turning a blind eye to details just shows how stupid you truly are. This story illustrates the need for ALL of us, as a community, to step up and be more vigilant in watching out for signs of distress from family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

MANY Muslim groups came together to denounce what happened in 2001. Innocent Muslims - not the terrorists - were killed on that day as well. Where is all the Christian outrage when Westboro Baptist Church protests outside the funerals of American soldiers, saying that God has killed that soldier because God hates America? Why aren't you speaking up in protest against them?

Who says they're browsing it all day? Just because you're spending your entire afternoon spamming the heck out of this post doesn't mean they're doing the same. And some people have downtime here and there - like myself - and sometimes we like to waste it on things that don't require a whole heck of a lot of brainpower ;)

I think he already wasted 2 minutes having to scroll through all your comments to get to the ones from people who are commenting on his blog post, rather than spamming their sub-par band who thought that Tempe had a scene worth flying into (rather than testing the real waters in a major city) and whose vocalist sounds like Tracy Chapman. It's not all about the money, it's about good music. You seem to be about the money (mentioning making a lot of it in your spammed comments and then trying to "make benjamins" in a response to someone's reply to your spam). That's not the right attitude to have.

If you truly want to get Pete's attention, build a fanbase. Have them sell your music for you. Or better yet... make music that sells itself.

I'm not insulting you in any way, just calling you out on a flaw in your argument; and I would have no problem calling you out in person. I'm not one to shy away from that sort of thing.

I regularly use social media as a means to get people more involved in charitable giving and helping others through activities away from their computers and phones. I see change on a regular basis, because of this. It may not be the immediate, sweeping change that is typically demanded by idealistic youth like yourself, but many little changes can add up to one large change over time.

How much of your life is dedicated to enacting change? How much of the evolution of the internet and social media have you even been around for and participated? Social media encourages people to get involved and has brought about a vast array of change in the way socialization, awareness, education, business, and other aspects of our daily lives are affected... and those changes spread much faster than any method employed 20 years ago, due to the immediacy of the medium. Open your eyes and see the bigger picture.

Read books and tell stories from your own life/which you've witnessed that include diversity and challenges. Ask him how they make him feel and what he would do in these situations as the protagonist and the antagonist. How would he handle that challenge? What might the repercussions be and how would he handle those?

My mom was always very busy, but we did a lot of talking in the car on the way to and from places. We would talk about local, national, and world news, politics, and natural disasters. She says to make whatever time you have into quality time. She also advises talking to a children's librarian (she works in a library herself) and tell them what sort of books you're looking for. They can hook you up with age-appropriate materials and will have plenty of leads for you to explore.

$173,000 divided by 186 pits comes out to about $930.10 annually ($77.50 monthly). Why not ask companies & individuals to donate $1000 per year to have their company logo or a honorarium/memorial stenciled onto the side of a firepit for the year. It'd be like the Adopt A Highway program. Hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions may jump at the chance to advertise to beach-goers and how many friends & families would love to honor a loved one who enjoyed the beach, by sponsoring a firepit in their name; providing warmth, fun, and a chance to connect with others? It's all in how you market the opportunity. The city obviously isn't looking for the better opportunities.
