Thank you for your affirmation of my thought.
Also, I have been contemplating why so many people seem to be so unhappy.
Sometimes after the years of striving for wealth, power, and advantage,
happiness eludes them.
When your primary goal is found in material things alone, you may have
missed the spiritual boat.
If your value system is for the happiness of yourself and others, the
rat-race of life will become superfluous.
What can be of higher value than the satisfaction of spiritual content?

True, as the above illustrates--being with, doing for, thinking of, and loving people--it is about what these holidays are about.
For the Christian believer it is the season when we celebrate Jesus' birth. There is a rich depth of meaning for those who believe.
The story is well known by most and is also wrapped up in the beliefs of our founding fathers in developing this united nation and the foundation of our country.
God's gift to mankind is mirrored in the gifts we give each other.
It is a time of joy, gratitude, and the recognition that everything we have and enjoy is a gift.
