I was partially sold on ios11 on the iphone x. Its notifications still sucked and ios11 has sucky performance (my wife´s iphone 8 on ios11 performs worse and has less battery life than her ex iphone 7 on ios 10).
now i am doing the jump (already a long time ipad user)

My 2016 small pixel also fails to upgrade to 8.1.0 through the phone downloaded OTA.
3 TRIES. Seems to boot loop then reverts to the other partition

Mmm, no, definitly not happy.

I agree that allo should have launched with everything HO had and them more.

Then again, it seems US is a special place, arround here everyone has a smarphone, SMS are not used cause each one costs money, and whatsapp (which i hate) is the norm, either via wifi or because internet for whtsapp does not count for the monthly cap.

I droped HO eons ago cause only my android group was using it :P

I tried to have only one app to rule them all, but it failed.

So... do we get a refund somehow? I payed for the pro version way back, did not reinstall last week when i got out of the beta of 7.1.2 with my pixel, and now its gone?

Google has it listed as $0 under my "stuff" and automatically responds that it cant refund.

Cuántos años tiene el autor de este artículo? Whatsapp no invento nada, se copio de BlackBerry Messenger (o de algún otro q se copio antes que ellos).

Edit: ahora q me acuerdo, cuando Whatsapp era cool, recién empezando q le respondía a los betatesters (yo fui uno), me acuerdo q les pedíamos esto un montón, y les re costó llegar al doble tick azul para indicar todos los estados posibles

Another less reported issue is that most of south (And maybe central) america can't use LTE although the bands are supported (well, except the carrier "Personal" in Argentina, which uses the same bands as the rest, but it works with it :P)

No such issues with my 6p on 7.1.1 and movistar or personal (did not try claro tho).

The pixel has no LTE in Argentina with Claro or Movistar, but Personal seems to work.

The issue was spoted as early as november 1st.

The same "caliber" of support rep that said that the issue was going to be fixed offered many users a device exchange... so it might not even be REALLY accepted by google yet.

The REAL issue is BAND 4 outside US. (US model, bought in US)

A possible issue (not enough confirmations) is band 3 and 7 in Australia (global model, bought in europe).

This is mostly a global phone, and supports the same bands others do, but has LTE issues outside the US (well, in Argentina, the 3 carriers use BAND 4, but only 1 works, so it might be a software issue on the carriers side too).

People reporting "bad" lte connection are not related to this article, IMHO.

The main issue seems to be that the US model can't connect to BAND 4 LTE on carriers on countries OTHER than UNITED STATES.
So, international buyers (people who travel a lot for pleasure or work), be aware.

On the other side of the world, there are reports of people not being able to use their band 3 and 7 LTE in australia, but no issues in Europe.

So, although it has the correct bands to work worldwide, there is some issue on the countries it is not sold yet.

PS: In argentina, Personal, Claro and Movistar use BAND 4, and the Pixel can work with Personal's LTE, but not with the other 2. A user even tried his T-mobile sim and was able to see (and maybe use) Movistar and Claro's LTE Towers, but the same is imposible with Movistar/Claro Sim card.

Not sure if it connected, but they showed in the list, unlike when the Movistar/Claro sim's where installed.

One user reported that while in Argentina, Personal (carrier name) works, while Movistar and Claro fail. The 3 carriers use band 4.

Using the app "LTE discovery" he was only able to see the LTE towers of personal.

Then he swapped the sim for a T-Mobile one (he travels regularly), and he could see Claro and movistar's LTE towers.

Dunno if it's important, but the Nexus 6p has no LTE issues around the globe, same sims and carriers.
