I've been having the most terrible week. For four nights in a row I've been sleeping in pitch black darkness because someone though it was funny to cause a power outage every night. Yesterday it happened twice.

Seriously, the year's just started and there's no point in continuing it anymore.

You may have opened the app before and not realised it. It was known as the Google Play Newsstand app, but it was later merged with the News and Weather app that had been on Android since the beginning because nobody was using the app for its intended purpose.

So the Google News app on my phone just gave me some massive spoilers the other day. I won't elaborate, because I respect your decision to not want spoilers, especially for this, but the Google News app gave me a notification that flat out told me who ended up dying in Endgame. Gee, it's not like I was looking forward to watch the movie or anything like that.

Just got a whole lot of channels on basic cable today, including ones that I've been dying to watch but couldn't because I could only watch them on one TV. Currently catching up on Miraculous Ladybug, I've been dying to watch this show.

Well Windows has been given a long history of backwards compatibility. iOS 11, for instance, is completely dropping support for 32-bit apps.

But the point is that you'll still be able to use your computer during this time. If the online stage was given higher priority then actions you'd be doing on your computer would be slowed down.

I agree that the online stage could be given higher priority if you allow it to do so, seeing as I usually leave the computer on overnight to update.

Again, this is taking some of the update process out of the offline stage and into the online stage--the part of the update where files are backed up and installation media is created took place during the offline stage, and will now take place on the online stage.

I don't think you understand. The point of this change is so that the update process spends less time on the "offline" stage--i.e the part of the update that follows the mandatory reboot. It'll appear to take longer but that's because what usually took place during the offline stage now takes place during the online stage.
