Yeah, I thought that was a rather tenuous link they drew. Their *other* explanation was that Facebook users tend to be more sociable, so they party more and study less than non-Facebook users. It sounds like another one of those 'videogames turn teens into murderers' studies, but hey, the full report isn't out yet. Personally, I blame YouTube for my falling grades...

Heh. I think my last comment came off as a bit of a whinge, but I'm kicking myself for getting the Earset last month and not waiting for this. I've wanted this since it was announced (a year ago!) and I could've waited a bit more. I like the form factor - similar to my previous favorite, a Nokia headset that was way too soft. Got the Earset because it was supposed to be the loudest headset around. Too bad it's also probably the most fiddly to put on. The Sound ID sounds like a really good piece of kit. Guess the Earset is going on ebay...

Urgh. I wanted to get this but it was taking forever to be released so I bought the Bang & Olufsen Earset2 instead...

Quick question: How easy is it to put this on and get it to fit perfectly? Can you do it with one hand?

I like .lit too, the ebooks are just so well formatted. Especially with the travel guides - you get pop-up maps, just like in the physical versions. And they convert quite nicely to other formats... .pdb and .mobi can't quite compare. One thing I won't miss is the DRM; having to activate an ebook online is overkill.

That sounded incredibly geeky...

What size is it? You might want to try one of the Tom Bihn 'Cells'. The Brain Cell is hard sided and the Soft Cell is... soft-sided. It's really more of a sleeve than a bag. Or if you fly a lot, checkout the TSA friendly Checkpoint Flyer. I like Knomo too - very stylish - but the smallest bags/sleeves they have are MacBook Air sized.

I just bought 3 of these, a month ago - they were on sale too, but at twice the price! You do have to remember to take them off every so often to clean underneath, 'cos the plastic builds up quite a static charge and dirt gets in through the cutouts and sometimes leaves fine scratches. I left one on my Macbook Pro for a year, and I was quite horrified when I took the Speck cover off.

I wasn't particularly impressed by last year's MacHeist, but they've really outdone themselves this year. BTW, if you buy the bundle and tweet about it, you get Delicious Library 2 and Multiwinia as well.
