I didn't use Flask-SQLAlchemy for outlauth, though.

Flask definitely has more batteries than Tornado. Nobody that didn't play watched. SC2 and tennis are both watched by non-athletes and have competitive scenes large enough to fund full-time salaries for the athletes.

Re: Reflections of a 2014 EVE Newbie

If you train your starting race's frigate, you already have it at II. You don't need propulsion jamming IV, covops IV, or torpedoes IV. You can have all this in 32d 19h without implants. With +3s, 28d 13h. With a remap, 26d 11h.

Re: Reflections of a 2014 EVE Newbie

If you're worried about someone else making you train things, you will never be a torpedo deliveryman. You only need Cybernetics I to inject +3s.

The guy in the video is flying solo, so I don't know what this is about alliance requirements.

It's uncommon to put hardeners on a stealth bomber. For solo work you need ewar and for bombing runs you don't need resists. Only for blopsing does it matter and even then there aren't enough mids for that.

T2 torpedoes are pretty terrible and the launchers themselves take too much CPU on what is already a very tight fit. If you've flown stealth bombers or even played with them in EFT you'd realize why everyone uses meta 4's.

Re: Reflections of a 2014 EVE Newbie

It doesn't take 42 days to train into a stealth bomber and torpedos. It's certainly possible with a long, boring grind. But you didn't want a long, boring grind ("minimal time commitment").

Re: Bazaar Characters

I think you had unreasonable expectations. As an EVE veteran, you wouldn't recommend a newbie to try to PLEX his account after a mere 60 days. It's possible, but it's a really boring grind.

As you probably knew before you started doing industry, EVE industry is basically a whole 'nother game. You're effectively a newbie trying to PLEX herself after 60 days. You didn't want to spend the time to grind ISK with a few million SP either.

That said, if I were you, I probably would have gone for 3 PI alts. Having multiple low-SP PI characters is better than one high-SP one. It's really boring and I stopped doing it, but if you want the ISK, that's a fairly passive way of getting it.

Re: Introducing Kids to Eve Online

The fact that you've been reminded yourself doesn't make it more OK...

Re: Be Present Now - durdn - blog - Nicola Paolucci

Indeed.
