I have been feasting on it every fall for a few years now. I discovered a whole huge field of just Eleagnus umbelliferae near home depot when I was buying some mulch for the garden. The fruit does dry out your mouth. "Inside out berry" is a great name for it. If you cook it then the drying out your mouth effect goes away and the cooked fruit is great as a substitute for cranberry sauce. Also for some reason juicing the fruit takes away the "inside out mouth" effect. I've also heard of people making fruit leather out of it but I haven't tried yet.

Kevin is right, the berries ripen at different times for different bushes, and some of the bushes have fruit that is much sweeter than others.

There is so much of this stuff around . . . feel the abundance.

Re: Raw Model - The Lifestyle for Beauty, Energy, and Mental Clarity: More Planting in the Veggie Patch!!

I planted some wild lowbush blueberry seeds a few weeks ago, and they sprouted today! If we the people accept 9/11, an attack on U.S. citizens, then what will we swallow next? The elite want us to believe that our lives and all human life is worthless. There are so many more mainstream 9/11 truth videos now that it's as if those who are responsible for 9/11 are admitting that they did it . . . and laughing at how many people simply don't care. I wouldn't be surprised if it was created to be exposed.

Re: Sweeteners

I'm not having much sugars right now but when I do want something sweet, I will have a baked sweet potato or some raw honey.

Re: Planting Seeds of Freedom!

This video is great! There are two sources I know that some of the readers of this blog might want to watch out for. One is tea, the tea plant Camellia sinensis accumulates a lot of fluoride from the environment in its leaves. Drinking one cup of black tea has the equivalent fluoride of a quart of fluoridated water. Kombucha brewers should check out the Daniel Vitalis video in which Daniel uses St. John's wort herb instead of regular tea to make kombucha.
The other source of fluoride that many healthy eaters could be exposed to is bones used in bone broth. Bone broths are great sources of minerals but if the animals were raised on pasture irrigated with fluoridated water or if the animals drank fluoridated water then their bones will contain a ton of fluoride. I would ask your farmer what kind of water the animals drink and what kind of water irrigates the fields and if it's tap water then avoid eating the bones.
One question I have is what to do about showering? I have no choice but to shower in fluoridated water so I take short showers in cold water hoping to reduce my exposure as much as possible.
I was also reading a study about rats given fluoride. I will try to find a link to it if I have time later. Some of the rats were given neither fluoride nor boron in their water. Other rats were given fluoride alone. The third group of rats got fluoride and boron. The boron was given in the form of sodium borate, AKA borax, a widely available household product. The rats who got the fluoride and sodium borate excreted much more fluoride in their urine than the rats who got fluoride alone. At the end of the study they had much less fluoride accumulated in their bones and tissues than the rats who didn't get boron but got fluoride.
My grandmother takes a quarter teaspoon of borax in water everyday and says it helps her arthritis. It's interesting to me that borax has been banned from use in food in the United States when it has the same toxicity as regular table salt. Because we are all being exposured to fluoride at some level, no matter how much we try to reduce the exposure, it might be a good idea to order some clean borax from mountain rose herbs and take it as a supplement. I might experiment with this.

Re: Massacoe Spring, Canton, CT

I haven't been to this spring for a while because I moved. I'm not afraid of an EMP attack. Last August the power was down on my college campus for four days and the profound peace, quiet and darkness was lovely. Also everyone in the dorms talked in person, played games, lent each other flashlights, built a bonfire . . . instead of texting, facebooking and ignoring each other. Have you listened to the Camilla Rees interview on one radio network about the health effects of EMFs and cell phone radiation? I have a lot of non-perishable food and bees wax candles stored away. . . Also I always have lots of spring water :)

Re: Chemtrail Vid from Phuket Thailand

It's ridiculous that the article dismisses the chemtrail as water vapor. I love it! The soil will eat any and everything! It all comes from the earth and goes back to the earth. I got several truckloads of composted horse manure for the sprout garden . . . good stuff, dark black and full of writhing red worms. I got it for free from a woman who runs a stable! Also for the past three weeks I've been giving my potted plants kombucha diluted with water and they seem to be thriving off of it. Try it . . . instead of watering your plants with pure water, use 25% kombucha and 75% water, or you could just add a splash of kombucha to the water mixes you make. It seems to boost the whole soil ecology up a notch.

Re: Pine Pollen...FINALLY

We've got lots of white pine trees here but they are really tall.
