What helped me get over the thought you quoted was realizing that I am who I choose to be. No one and nothing can take away our ability to choose how we act and react in this world. That is such a liberating thing to realize! Thank you for the comment, and for acknowledging my husband, he is definitely my angel. I do think it's natural for all of us to make excuses, it's just how our brains work - always looking for ways to make us look better:) It's all fine, every thought is fine, as long as we recognize it and don't let it affect our actions. As long as we can smile to it and be who we want to be nonetheless:)

I'm happy you enjoyed the post. Have a wondrous week:)

Re: The Most Common Excuses We Make to Avoid Working on Ourselves

Thank you very much for your comment, Andrew.

If you don't think, then you are doing a very good job, not thinking is something I aspire to do every single day.

I agree, people do tend to be lazy. But I think they wouldn't be this lazy if they didn't believe that change is impossible or very hard for some reason. I think people are lazy because they don't see themselves succeeding at all, so they don't want to put work into something they find unachievable anyway. If they would believe in themselves, I think more people would be willing to put in the work.

Most of the time, momentary things seem more satisfying, like enjoying that burger, like you said:) It's all about what you're willing to sacrifice.

Thank you again for the comment!

Re: The Most Common Excuses We Make to Avoid Working on Ourselves

Thank you for the comment, dear Max, I'm happy you could connect with what I had to say.

Reading about you made my heart swell with joy, the message you give with your life is wondrous. The people who don't have the chance to run away from themselves can be the brightest lights of our world. I was bedridden because of a mental issue when I decided to change as a person. It was either "change" or "suffer." So I chose to change, and this choice is what I try to help others make as well. Because it's so much better to change than to suffer. Change is what makes life a wonder. We can face anything with a smile if we want to. Thank you for being a shining light, Max:)

Re: The Most Common Excuses We Make to Avoid Working on Ourselves

Thank you for your comment, dear Nik, I'm glad you enjoyed my words.
