Nothing recorded today has any lasting power or is transformative enough to be considered of any worth. Drake's just lucky to hit the market when it's hit rock bottom and stations will play anything at all to pretend the music industry still exists. The glory days are over.

Re: iTunes Festival - Paul McCartney Official Website

Flaming Pie is outstanding, the only downside is that it was released around the time Diana was killed in a car crash, which changed the emotive narrative a bit. Yet, that timeframe aside, it remains one of the best Paul McCartney albums ever. I love 'Willow', 'The World Tonight' and every other cut. Plus Ringo played a part in its production. Love Paul and all the others and their outputs too, yet it's hard for anyone to top George Harrison's 'All Things Must Pass' LP. That LP is just glorious throughout. Paul's 'Letting Go' now there's a route that he should've musically travelled on a little more, bring more power dynamics into the game, as far as making hits goes. He does have it in him, that's why the push back, to hope he reads that, and acts on it. This will not be his last album, there will likely be more to follow, and I hope they are all blockbusters. Even 'Back to the Egg' had some charge to it, with futuristic vibes.

Re: iTunes Festival - Paul McCartney Official Website

I'll still be buying Paul's album. I want to hear the rest of the recordings as well. I saw the Beatles 'Live' Sept 8 1964 in the Montreal Forum and they were spectacular, I'm a big Beatles fan and have followed each of them through their long careers and I've kept pace with their individual musical offerings. I know Paul could be on a beach somewhere drinking Margaritas and taking it easy, but that wasn't to be due to his love of music and performing. As I get older myself, I get a little more opinionated about what I hear, based on what I've heard before, and believe me I've heard a great deal over the years. We'll see what the rest of Egypt Station sounds like in September, and hopefully I'm blown away by it, yet I won't sacrifice my views based on his fame, these days everyone's a critic, we're all striving for elusive perfection from our heroes, Paul being no exception.

Re: iTunes Festival - Paul McCartney Official Website

Listened to the first two tracks, and I'm actually unimpressed, they sound like monotonous left overs from the last two albums, with the only musicality being the endless smacking of the drums, in children's rhyming cadence beat. What happened to you Paul? You used to be more creative than that, you used to take us where we were never before and surprise us with your inventive melodies and orchestration, in a pure rock manner with form, your production values were evenly distributed, not bass loaded heavy cloud cast. At least when you had to compete with John or George you felt challenged, well not anymore, your now just sliding and gliding on rep. Even Ringo might've sparked some life into you. John practiced screaming as a means of getting it all out, maybe you need to scream, and maybe listen to John's music once again to feel and hear. how magnificent his production values actually were. I'm mad at you, because I know you can do a whole lot better than this level of performance. Maybe you'll step up in your next one, and produce it clean and lean like George Martin might've.

Re: Trump boasted to donors about making up facts during talks with Trudeau: report

The Orange Prez will soon look dazzling in an orange jump suit.

Re: Trump boasted to donors about making up facts during talks with Trudeau: report

Give him a few more years and he won't even know who HE is!

Re: Trump boasted to donors about making up facts during talks with Trudeau: report

Wonder how much he's conned his own party?

Re: Trump boasted to donors about making up facts during talks with Trudeau: report

So the American President is so corrupt with other world leaders, he purposely makes up facts to suit him, with no knowledge of whether they're true or not, and then brags to the world about how much of a liar he is.
