They're incredible!

Re: Streeter Seidell

Agreed. His teeth are so white, you'd think CollegeHumor was sponsored by Crest White Strips. :)

Re: Just got off a flight and saw this email in my inbox...

I knew it had to be a joke! Ricky's ego couldn't possibly be contained by Twitter. He'd have to take it to the next level, and hire a sky-writer to write his tweets high over New York. :)

Re: Alexandra The Great

When I was your age, I made a killing from babysitting. It was like highway robbery, I swear. I couldn't belive how much parents would pay for me to play Dance Dance Revolution with their kids, or walk them to the ice cream shop, or color pictures. :)

Re: CHICAGO PUBLIC LIBRARY

Such a cool picture!

Re: WHATtheHale. - I spend half my life on LSD. If you're stuck in traffic on Lake Shore Drive, at least it's scenic. :)

Re: Seasoned

Hi :) You don't know me or anything. I saw your note on Streeter's blog, which is how I found yours. But I've worked in HR since 2005, and I wanted to answer your question:

The field of HR falls into 3 categories: interviewing and hiring, employee relations, and benefits administration (which has to do with health insurance and stuff like that). No matter which category suits you, there are two things you have to master, in order to succeed in HR:

1) Maintaining confidentiality - if you go into HR, you'll learn more about people than you ever cared to know - you'll know everyone's Social Security #, salary, medical history, and whether or not they have any complaints (such as harassment) filed against them. No matter who asks (unless it's your boss of course), you cannot share this information with anyone.

2) Being a good judge of character - this is especially important if you go into the branch of HR that involves interviewing people. A lot of the time, you have to rely on a gut feeling you have about an applicant.

I really hope this helped you. Best of luck! :)

Re: Streeter Seidell

That was awesome! You did a great job, and Liz Cackowski was hilarious. Loved the Babysitters Club reference, where the girls are all laying in a circle on the lawn. :)

Re: Complaint #383

Alex is right - they're $4 per box in Illinois, and $3.50 per box in Wisconsin. I would venture to say that it's a racket, but those Tagalongs are SO good.. :)

Re: Streeter Seidell

My name is Vanessa... thank god it's not Ver-nessa. The more they said "Ver-nessa," the funnier it got. Good stuff! I wish College Humor Live would come to Chicago!!
