Oh, gotcha. The "your" part instead of "our" threw me off a bit.

That's a really great analogy because it proves my point. While you do lose respect for your mentor, you don't lose respect for what he used to stand for. Just as while you may hold no respect for the current administration or others in the future, you don't (or at lest shouldn't) lose your respect for our nation and the ideals of those founding fathers. Disrespect for our country is like a slap in their faces because while they certainly would not agree with everything our country has become (uh, Washington and the whole foreign entanglements deal? Not doing so hot on that one), they most definitely would realize how far we have come and hold respect to the country they created.

So are you saying that your respect for our country should vary based on the actions of the current administration? Your respect and loyalty should be for this country and what it represents and shouldn't waver based on the country's current state. Of course it will go through times of horrible leadership; that doesn't mean you get to recall your loyalty and curb your respect, only to recall it when times are good again.

And honestly, if you have no respect for the entity that is our country (not who's in charge of it), you should just leave. If you feel like something needs to be changed (which we all know that things need to be changed), change it. I know you agree that there is no such thing as a wasted vote. Cast it the way you want to cast it; I know it sounds cheesy but just do what you know is right. Of course I am aware that at this point we can't vote and such, but like I said in the last paragraph, we're next. Educate yourself. Know what you believe and put it into action.

Also, I'm curious as to what you meant by "your home." Are you saying you don't see this country as your home? If you don't, we need to have a talk...

You disappoint me Jameson. You should have seen it with me at midnight. It was soo much fun. And you know what? I had an extra ticket! Somebody filled the spot, but only because my bro was hanging out with him like right before we went. Otherwise I would have asked you. And OMG it was freaking sweeeeet in IMAX! I swear I almost crapped myself... I gotta go see it again. I got 3 in the bag, plus one with Priya and maybe one with you, so that makes 5. We definitely need to talk about it though after you're done.

It was like, waay out there since it was by Mr. Guillermo-Pan's-Labyrinth-Del Toro, but it was super awesome. And, um, I'm guessing you've already got plans for Dark Knight this Thursday, but if you don't (or even if you do) I'm your man.

Well that actually makes me feel better. Question: If you go to any of my posts, you'll see that the Disqus comment code is all screwy. It goes behind that sidebar and everything. How can I fix that? It's killing me. It looks so bad. I've looked all through the Disqus site and can't find anything.
