Supergroovy, I guess it's natural for Mac users to root for Safari but I hope those on Windows and Linux will agree Firefox is definitely the best.

A very valid point. We are often so reckless on Facebook, forgetting the fact that now, everybody is on Facebook, Orkut etc. Every action of ours speaks volume about our personality.

As far as I know all the softwares mentioned are freewares and not trial versions. You don't need to buy or uninstall them after 3 months. I have been using AVG antivirus and Spybot for more than a year and all I do is keep them updated. Even so, there is no reason why one should not pay for a Mcafee or Norton (say) if there is a need for extra security.
