I have been enjoying the podcast since I discovered it a few months ago. Always interesting topics and discussion.
one question, or comment, about this episode - when talking about moving one's feet, relative to motion of the body, I was sure you would include the topic of shukling during the amida. I was surprised it did not come up, especially as you did discuss the idea of possibly needing to stand ramrod straight like a soldier.

Re: 22: I am not Uncle Moishy | Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky's Official Website

my podcast player is giving me an error on this episode.. i can watch it in youtube, but my podcast player cant download it

Re: How to Optimize Your Apology (Ep. 353)

another fabulous episode. thanks. I wanted to add a factoid that you might be interested in looking into. In a recent elections in Israel, just a few years ago, the Jewish Home (Habayit Hayehudi in Hebrew) party running for Knesset had a major campaign theme of "we will not apologize". You should look into it. Being that a campaign and an election has so many factors, I have no idea how to weigh whether this specific campaign theme helped and by how much, but perhaps you have a way to determine that.
To start your research, here is a link from The Times of Israel news website..
https://www.timesofisrael.c...

Re: How to Retrieve Deleted WhatsApp Data from Damaged Android

Android Data Recovery. new phone is a Samsung Galaxy 6

Re: How to Retrieve Deleted WhatsApp Data from Damaged Android

hi. once I recover the whatsapp messages to my computer, what then? how do I open them? or, how do I transfer them to my new phone? all I see are some files with an html file and that opens up to just a page that says #content .. what do I do next?

Re: DOVBEAR: Happiest day ever!

1. internet is available on the smallest of devices that are easily kept hidden when the owner does not want them to be seen.
2. nowadays when you almost never pay for internet per mb, it doesnt cost anything to let people use your internet, except maybe it slows you down a bit in a way though you would never even notice. Rechnitz only offered a solution that is not new in any way, but is the classic solution that has been touted regularly over the past few years.
Perhaps people arent playing along. I dont know if the average age of marriage has gone down in the past 10 years or not, but this is the main solution touted in recent years.
A guy like Rechnitz should come up with a new solution. He is someone that thinks out of the box. He is creative. He is willing to do things differently. For him to just repeat the same solution everybody else is saying, a solution that obviously hasnt actually solved the problem (for whatever reason), is disappointing.

Re: Emes Ve-Emunah: Unwanted Physical Contact of a Sexual Nature

"these three people do not normally cross paths"... not entirely true. Rabbis Cohen and Schwartz have sat next to each other in shul for probably about 30 years (give or take a few).. I have been running in Vibram's for over 2 years now (including 4 full marathons in Vibrams). When I began I was very careful to start slowly and transition properly.

I know from my friends who have tried, some have succeeded, and they always heeded my advice about starting slowly. the ones who did not succeed and either ended up injured or just gave up quickly, were the ones who tried to do too much too soon, thinking that because they could easily run 25km in shoes so they could start off with distances of 15km in Vibrams.

From my experience that is what I have seen - the guys who fail at it, are the guys who arent willing to transition properly. That being said, I never push barefoot running. When people ask i tell them it has worked for me, but I am not an evangelist and don't know if it will work for them, but if they want to try i am happy to help them transition properly.

Re: Can Affiliate marketing be a part of MLM?

this is something I am trying to figure out right now. a friend has a business operating in the MLM system, and came to me to ask me to help add an Affiliate Marketing dimension to it. I am having trouble figuring out how to connect the two, as the purchasing is not done through them but directly from the manufacturer. I need a way to make an ecommerce website for the affiliate that will then transfer the sales to the parent company ecommerce site for the actual processing of the sale.
does such a thing already exist?

Re: Mostly Kosher: Finding Sympathy For The Burqa Cult

I get that part of it. but the clothes contradicts the rest of it.
by the way, they base their actions on the teachings and leadership of a certain Rav Sofer who wrote a book promoting the burqa wearing.
