@Laine Here is your answer, a huge majority of the people do want reform it's the senators and congressmen who follow in lock step the G(N)OP party line of NO to anything proposed by the Democrats. It is a tactic employed to bring down Obama and score some seats in 2010, unfortunately for them, the general population has gotten wind of that and this will backfire. After all does anybody want to elect someone who's only solution to a problem is "SAY NO"?
I say they ignore them and get it done

Whatever you might think of Clinton and the Dems, On February 26, 1993 the World Trade Center was attacked, they got the guy who did it Ramzi Ahmed Yousef and he was tried and is in jail. Sadly we cant say that for the 01 attacks.

Is that not just the technique used by Turd Blossom and the GOP to squelch the left during the Bush years.

Lets look at the GOP record...they inherited a surplus from Clinton, squandered it, took the country almost into bankruptcy and many citizens along with it. Lied to get us into Iraq, which Bush senior refused to do because it would destabilize the Middle East. At least when Saddam was there it kept Iran in check, we are still in a quagmire in Afghanistan, and we didn't get Bin Laden. They messed up Katrina, did nothing about the healthcare situation. Please tell me what in the GOP resume should lead me to follow them?

Operative word there, is "current debate", Fox has no debate, they just spew "right wing" propaganda. There is no debate there.

Over 40,000 die each year because they have no health coverage. Please try and answer a question with an answer rather than yet another question.

Laine, thank you for finally asking an intelligent question, the simple answer is--they don't need the republicans, the longer answer is its always good when there is a bipartisan solution to a problem, but the right, led by Boener and Canter have done nothing but obstruct and lie about "death panels", birth certificates and such, they have NO solution. You people throw that "socialist" term into everything like it's a bad thing. If your house catches fire you would be more than happy to call out that "socialist" program called the fire department. What about those other "socialist" programs like police, military, FEMA, Medicare and others, should we make them all "for-profit"? Imagine this scenario, your house catches fire, you call the fire dept and they respond by saying "sorry you don't have coverage, we cant come and save your house". We will pour all kinds of money into programs to protect our property. What is the Republican answer to solving the health care crisis that faces this country?

The health-care system as it stands is broken, rates are through the roof, deductibles are increasing, co-pays are increasing, less is covered and millions, like myself are denied because of an existing condition. The system has been breaking for years. The only people benefiting right now are companies like Wellpoint, United Healthcare and others, guess who is not benefiting...the patient. Yes there needs to be reform. Sooner the better and The Dems are willing to and have compromised, the Dem position is "single payer", in case you haven't noticed they stepped back from that and accepted a weak public option for those who cant get it elsewhere.
What has the right compromised on? Anyone want to give me an intelligent answer to that?

It makes sense that Fox would do what it does, there is an incredible appetite in this country for sensationalism, drama and scandal presented by a bunch of "Foxy" blondes, and cute Irish guys. Its all about ratings. The boring realities and the equally drama free everyday truth is also boring,,,boring gets no ratings.....no ratings, no advertisers...no advertisers, no dollars. Fox are so anxious to scrape every dollar from the operation they even have..."captions sponsored by....." so sad.
Once upon a time there was capitalism, unfortunately it has been hijacked by GREED. Anyone wanna tell me (Intelligently) the difference between capitalism and greed because I think capitalism is a great thing, greed...not so good?
