Looks like a fun event! Some cool outfits there.

I'm skeptical of the idea of harajuku outfits becoming simplified due to the recession. Big brands have never been all harajuku is about. It's usually a combination of brand and other types of clothing, including handmade (And btw, I think Forever 21 is the only American brand of those 3). The outrageous clothing will always be the key, whether or not people can afford expensive brands. I'm also doubting whether the people who can afford the expensive brands are the ones affected by the recession in the first place...

Ohhh you managed to snag my favorite LS song for the song of the day <3 I mostly drew anime stuff when I was a kid...I drew a lot of angels, actually, which I think is quite reflective of the type of person I ended up being--not to say that I wound up being angelic, but that I have always had a fascination with the divine and ethereal.

My girlfriend is always teasing me that Howl is my cartoon doppleganger...a handsome, blonde-haired, blue-eyed, aristocratic wizard who is so obsessed with his looks that he thinks it's not worth to live if you aren't beautiful and mopily turns into a blob of hate when his hair gets messed up...my exact description, and I unfortunately have to admit to her that it's accurate despite the grumpy faces I make! XD

Regardless, the film is lovely despite its general...inconclusiveness. I get a general sense of "why" to so many things that are going on, especially why Sophie does various things...I imagine the original novel contains much of the detail that was left out and consequently confuses me...
