Great post, I've run into this issue. I'm not quite the CIO but at any meeting either me (Web Director) or my boss (IT Director) are the ones called to resolve these av and computer issues that arise. This usually ends up in taking both of us out of the meeting and our input is generally required. As these projects get deployed further down the road these issues that we missed in the kick off meeting tend to come up as a problem instead of something we've planned for.

He was at the enterprise mobility event today and also announced that fingerprint authentication for mobile banking will be integrated in the short term. As an option or choice, not a requirement.

Looks like a nice machine although at $15,000 is it worth it?

Excited to se where these ultra portable thin, laptop / tablet hybrids are going and when they come down in price.

Their is also a lot of movement on making "tastefull" animated images/Gif's. Known as cinemagraphs they can actually be very powerful when portraying subtle movement and flawless looping.

Cool, not sure how i feel about the large left toolbar area although I'm sure I can customize it to be skinnier. I like the idea of a darker interface to put the focus where it should be, on the image. I also like the idea of large layer thumbnails as my naming convention doesn't exist (Ctrl click to select layers).

Scary how good some of the new autofill tools work although it's always better in the demo's.

I definitely think blackberry having a great touchscreen phone is a necessity. That said I don't think they can ditch one of their major differentiators.

For some reason blackberry never talks about the bold 9900 which has both a touch screen and a real keyboard. I think advancing this format and getting in a larger screen is where black berry's focus should be. If they want to play the full touch screen game they will have a lot of catching up to do on Samsung, HTC and Apple.
