you should read "Candy and Me" by Hilary Liftin. It's much much better than this book. I can't suggest it enough. It's short and an easy read!

Jessica - You are right that most of the nastiness stems from jealousy, but the other people? The other people just suffer from bad self esteem and to put it harshly, are pretty stupid. Think about all the time and intention you've put into creating this life for yourself that is full of joy and fulfillment. I know for a fact that that in itself is no easy task. Think about the lack of education people have in general and especially when it comes to things that really matter. That is why all that terrible television exists...That is what most people are subscribing to! Superficiality! These people who leave nasty comments know nothing about life. If they went within themselves and found some inner peace, they would not feel the need to cut other people down unless they were truly standing up for someone who was really suffering. That's my 2 cents...Don't even sweat it. You know who you are and that's all that matters.

Yeah, I have been a Mike Dooley fan for a while! I've been getting his "notes from the universe" for about a year now after Phoebe turned me on to it. I haven't read his book yet. Maybe we can trade when we're both done??

One thing I think you did right in this scenario, is waited til you KNEW that she liked the bondage bit before you tried it...I can't tell you how disturbing it is when a man does something really aggressive right off the bat and doesn't even ask if it's something up your alley!

yeah...whenever I break up with someone I think the same thing. I don't want to put any energy into dating. Dating sucks. Dating is a job interview. And that's ok. You don't have to date. You just tell yourself that you're livin' your life and that when you meet someone spectacular, which you will, you'll know what you'll want to do.

I agree. Not everyone likes Marshmallow, but mannnnnnnnn, it is so good! Like, did you ever eat the toasted marshmallow flavored Jelly Belly's? So GOOD! At all times I keep a bag of jett-puffed marshmallows in the cupboard and eat them a handful at a time when I need to satisfy the craving.
