When that happens, it provides yet another reason for not working with them :)

Are you seeing the same thing ? Or are most founders smart enough to respect your conclusions and not burn a bridge ?

Re: Chris Messina

Congrats. For many people who don't want to worry about upgrading their software, dealing with traffic spikes, etc -- WordPress.com is a choice that gives them peace-of-mind.

And just for clarification, you can use your own domain on WordPress.com: http://en.support.wordpress... So if you do a custom theme for hire and deliver it to a client, it’s fine. It’s only if it’s being put into public distribution that you need to license it as a derivative work under the GPL."

Plus the client's images that I presume would be the copyrighted elements, are not applicable to GPL -- just the PHP and perhaps some of the JS, depending on how you build the theme.

Re: test

Hi James --

Have you checked out the compatibility setting ? From the FAQ: http://blackberry.wordpress...

Q: The app does not seem to work properly on the Storm. The screen orientation is odd, and scrolling does not work properly. How do I resolve these issues ?
A: You need to run the app with Compatibility mode OFF. Go to option-> Advanced options-> Application -> WordPress to change this setting.

Re: WordPress Maker Acquires a Better Spell Checking Tool

For self-hosted WordPress, use this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend...

Re: I don’t feel safe with WordPress, hackers broke in and took things

@Sheamus -- sounds more likely that your server has been compromised, since there are no known reports of security issues with 2.8.4. Until you fix the server setup they will continue to hack your site regardless of the version of WP that you are running until the backdoors are removed. I would contact your hosting provider asap about this.
