This is funny given your last post. As a typical dumbed-down American, my "reading" consists mostly of what's on the tube. To my credit, it mostly consists of what's on PBS, History, Science, etc. But if there's a copy of Scientific American lying around, don't plan on getting it back for a couple of days.

Some of us "Windows enthusiast(s)" aren't all that enthusiastic about it. I can't stand Bill Gates' business practices and his products pretty much suck. I do like what I've heard he's been using his money for recently, though.

Having recently watched an Ann Dvorak movie, this again piqued my interest. Turns out that Ann Dvorak isn't related, but the Czeck composer Antonín Dvořák supposively is, distantly.

Tech support 101: cold boot it, completely. I often forget that one too, sometimes for the better part of an hour or so after jerkin' around with some miscreant device. The only question is if the problem was with the device or with Windoze?

WTF is Twitter?! I just got on Facebook recently and am prob one of the few that still logs into MySpace here and there. Worse than that, I just bought my first cell phone last year, and that was only for the substitute teaching gig.. So, look for me on Tweety in a year or two, maybe.

I think I'd leave it alone, at least until it becomes industry standard. If you were to become proficient, imagine trying to use any other computer except for your own. That right there just might increase the 'tension' in your neck and shoulders.
