Thanks for the article. The internet is only one of many ways in which we are losing privacy in this age. The Discovery Channel aired a one-episode show called "Track Me If You Can" that I encourage everyone to watch (for entertainment purposes). The intent of the show was to illustrate the LENGTHY (nearly impossible) efforts one would have to go to to remove your identity, what people know about you, and how people can and do track you. It was an odd show because it makes you think if a criminal were watching it, he/she would get good advice, but the things pointed out in the show were fascinating. For example, many auto tires have trackable RFID tags embedded in them!

The movie "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" is also a very funny family film. It was quite enjoyable.

I'm always disappointed when films introduce a new kid to a classroom as if it's a quick, 30 second announcement, then they are assigned to go sit by the protagonist of the film. This short film did this too. Seriously? We made a little more for welcoming a new kid to school when I was in school.

This is one of the few movies I watched over the summer while I was traveling. I really loved it all the way through, the imagery was great. However, I was highly disappointed with the ending. I don't want to say how it ended or how I would have liked it to have ended so as to not spoil it, but I thought they could have been more creative given the rest of the film.

This movie is a fantastic tribute to the beautiful art of choral music of this genre. The stark difference in veneration of the boychoir between the past and present is lamentable. Please, if you are a supporter of youth choirs, make your voice known and invest in the arts. Thanks SkyKid for continuing to make these gems known.

There is some interesting photography there, but I prefer the art of someone like Evgeny Mokhorev. His photography of impoverished Russian youth is in stark contrast to many of these. The harsh environments in his photography sadden you, but many images are staged to be surreal or fantasy-like, like a child's play, and you feel a hopefulness that the "innocence and mischievous natures" of children bring to all environments. I won't post the link to his site because he has some adult nudity in his photography.

I listened to a debate about the book series and why it is not popular in the U.S.A. The fact that they cannot make the books profitable here will be a hindrance in getting an English release (yes, I know there are other English speaking countries). I think we'll have to see if it makes enough money in France (i.e. Les Choristes) to get a major film company to take notice. It's a wildly successful series there.

I was happy to see this film show up online recently. I first viewed it from my local video store, on VHS of course. I can still rent it there, but stores like it are going out of business because of the big stores specializing only in major productions. A very delightful film; I add my recommendation.

I finally had time to watch this movie (you know how that goes). It was a fantastic piece. I wished it would not end. A great performance by Melenchuk. I hope to find another of his films soon.
