Just arrived from the Pintados Festival, huge crowd and awesome show, thou it was mixed with politics it went ok. Yup i am literally a big guy! hehehe, im the one responsible with everything.. For the WPO 2009 i will ask for some free tickets for you. Maybe you can also have my pass to go on the barge to take some pics during our setup. So you can feature it on your blogs. We are now preparing for our show in pohang korea. But ill be off to Italy to train with Parente Fireworks, this years winner, i askedÂ Antonio to train me in making their products and some of their systems.

Definitely am not the PR for them... Im the one doing the shows!!!hehehe
Im the Chief Pyrotechnician.. meaning my job description was:
1. be responsible for the setup of all participant
2. i will be supervising their setup and mortar and racks angle and position
3. i will be coordinating with the grounds when and where to put the barges.
4. ingress and egress of the pyrotechnicians.. local and foreign team
5. am the one responsible and accountable for the shows on the barges...
Thats why maybe they called me the chief!? Howdy!!! Me no tonto, ride horses white silver!!!
Maybe thats why i hate cowboys but i love cowgirls...hehehe.
My job is so dangerous... extreme... and definitely tons and tons of fun under the sun!!!
next show is the sangyaw... at tacloban... this june hope to see you there... just a small show..

Can you be our blogspokeperson?hehehehe... our P.R. over the net.... i think youre right that well get alot of mileage around those sites.. thats PR for sure.. Hi,

Im Robert Basihan, a.k.a PYROBASE, chief pyrotechnician for La Mancha Pyro.
Ive been looking over the net and surfing about post comment with regards to the WPO2008.
IM VERY HAPPY FOR ALL THE POSITIVE COMMENTS FROM ALL OF YOU.

Yes, like you we suffered the wet and dry season.. thats dry hot sunny morning and wet rainy evenings... JUST BEFORE THE SHOWS...

Luckily and im happy to report to all of you that the air we breathe was one of the finest from manila bay..
we didnt get sick, for 34 days afloat out there on the barge with my flock of pyrocrews..

But on the friday of June 16 that scarry shit moment did really pulled my balls up arround my neck.. Thanks to Cosme and his wits.. Our barges slammed along the rocky ditches of the shoreline.. for about 2 hours we waited for the rescue coming from another tugboat.. Big tugboat.. as our small tugboat strugled to pull us out of danger.. ( the container could have turned over and the barges will be washed out of its setup.. that is the winners setup... ITALY...)

Thats how ITALY AND VENEZUELA setup got postponed... but luckily Italy won.. afterall..

NEVER AGAIN i told my self to risk the lives of every body just for a show... i mean, get out from the open seas when there is a storm and run for shelter before its too too too late..

we are going to shoot on germany this august, korea on august also, and macau in september..
