Marriages performed through the court system are not a religious act. It is a contract between two adults. Maybe they should remove any ceremonial acts, when married through the Courts, and just do the paperwork. Straight and gay marriages. If someone wants to have a ceremony, the courts should not be involved. The signing of the marriage certificate should be allowed at the courthouse and no ceremony should be necessary. I'm gay and married my partner of 16 years last June. We had a ceremony, but that should not be a requirement for marriage. That being said, that judge needs to do her job or leave the bench.

With the air conditioner running on the roof and a ceiling fan running above my bed, I can hear an entire orchestra, chorus, harmonies and melodies in my head. This is done with very little effort and the music is awesome. I thought it was just me but now I find I'm not the only one. I, however, need noise for my brain to work with. I think it's wonderful and fun.

Members should know by now that the leaders of their church are not inspired by the creator. They lack vision and understanding of human nature. They are driven by outdated, narrow minded bigotry and refuse to recognize science as a viable tool rendered to mankind to make humane, intelligent decisions.

Oh, really? This is where you have it very, very wrong, Blue Sky. Homosexuality exists in all nature, not just humans. The church leaders totally ignore this fact. The church is ignoring science and falling back onto the dark ages. I used to think our church was progressive and valed science and knowledge. Now I find the church leaders are ignoring both for their own biggoted, self righteous control of their followers. The church needs new leadership.

Blue Sky, I was born gay. I was also born the middle child of five boys in an LDS family. My father was acting Bishop, in the small communities we lived in. Because of this, I have the advantage of not only knowing, for a fact, that I was born gay but also have a great amount of knowledge about the church. All five of us boys were raised the same, so environmental factors can be eliminated. What renders my anger and concern is that a handful of old white men are making decisions that directly impact my relationship with my family. If they were truly receiving inspiration and information from God, they would know that he puts gay people on this planet for a reason. Those leaders are rendering their own biggoted, narrow decisions that are driving a wedge between me and my loved ones. Those church leaders are not inspired by God and they know it. They are not having visions, nor are they speaking to God. I want, more than anything, for them to make that perfectly clear to their followers and my family members, who are still active in the church. They are lyers and do not have the courage nor integrity to reveal the truth, that they have made their biggoted decisions regarding gay people on their own volition and not by Devine inspiration.

I don't get it. Didn't they learn anything from their discrimination of blacks. Why do they find it necessary to make judgement on how others are born? This is why organized religion leaves such a sour taste in my mouth. Come out of the dark ages and spend a little more time communicating with the real God, nature.
