I know this is a bit late, but what did you use (if anything) to replace Day One, Gabe? I'm increasingly worried about using it, especially given it's almost a year since they talked about wanting end-to-end encryption and yet here we are, still without it. I'm considering moving, but I'm not sure where to. I really do love the app, but I certainly don't like the idea of anyone having access to my data. I guess I could just switch off sync and have one copy running somewhere, but that removes a tremendous amount of the functionality. I currently write on iPhone, iPad or Mac, so syncing is important.

If you're going to go the route of having it locally AND in the cloud anyway, may as well just store the content as is on a local NAS and backup to Amazon Unlimited at £cheap, rather than store it in the Cloud and back it up locally.

Yep, I'm with you. The whole point of the gaming system is to motivate you, but the faults with the system actually lead to it demotivating you, which is the worst possible scenario.

I cancelled my premium Dropbox account once I started using BTS.

I agree that it has some (but hardly any) features missing - for me, that's primarily sync functions with a few iOS apps - but, apart from that, I'm more than happy with it. Everyone has different requirements, though.

I was seriously looking at the Transporter Sync, but can't see what it'd do for me that BTS currently isn't.

Allowing comments on this post just reinforces the fact Dropbox don't have a clue what they've unleashed here.

I was kinda on the fence about leaving, until reading this latest post. The very fact that you thought you had to explain, yet are still standing by one of the most stupid business decision ever made by any company just goes to prove you simply do not understand what a very large number of the people who pay your wages expect of you.

In the process of moving on right now.

Yes, it is odd. It also seems unique to the 5S/headphones combination.

It does happen a little with the headphones and the Mini Retina, but nowhere near as badly.

I'm beginning to think it's the distance between the phones and the device I want to listen to. Quite by chance, I today noticed that when the 5S is within a couple of feet of the phones, there's no dropout. I'll experiment some more.

Looks great but still, after all this time, it requires non standard ports being opened (which isn't possible in my situation). Sigh. I so much want to like Woopra, yet you seem to go out of your way to not let me use you!

Despite my previous rumblings, the Plus package is actually a pretty good deal compared to the current Premium offerings. I don't need music uploads and most of my current members embed video rather than upload it, so it looks like I can get by without the Pro version.

Overall, better news than I had expected.

I'd pay a one-off fee for something like this local to me (as I paid a fixed [low] price for the excellent Guardian iPhone app) but I wouldn't pay a subscription. As the previous poster mentioned, you can almost always get the same new elsewhere and for free.
