Well Bill your entire philosophy is flawed, as we climbed in spending we dropped in out puts. Less kids are graduating today then when Gov Richardson took office, not blaming him for this, you say more = better the FACTS say different. Bill what will it cost to be dead last? Lets pay it and get there so we can improve.

Bill your 4 to 1 ratio is totally false. Tell the truth it is now around 1.4 maybe 2 to 1 and from the looks of thinngs in DC that is going to shrink even more. We are picking up more of the tab every year for Medicaid spending.

Didn't you lobby to raise taxes on tobacco and say the "increase" in revenue would go to helping with costs associated with medical problems associated with that use? How much NEW revenue has the state received since the increase in taxes????? NONE as a matter of fact the tax revenue has decreased since people are no longer buying those products on the taxable market. So the only lesson you need is current facts about our own state. Raising taxes doesn't work! I got one for you why don't we tax non-profits like yours since you want to help so many people maybe your increase in taxes can do that?

You folks are clueless and what is even scarier is there are folks in Santa Fe who will actually listen to you and believe this crap.......

You have no idea who I am but judging by your remarks you are a simpleton! You have the whole thing figured out, you have no idea and I am not going to engage your entire crazy speech. I will say this I judge peoples charity but what they are willing to do with their own resources and you judge a persons charity but what they are willing to do with OTHERS resources. You clearly think this country is bad and I disagree with you. Funny how from Reagan to Bush we had Clinton but he made the world better under your warped view and only becasue he has a D next to his name. You clearly need some help, so step away from the Starbucks and your "progressive" meetings and get a hold of reality, you are destroying the greatest country in the history of man kind and you get some sick pleasure out of doing it.

Almost every Liberal Democrat in DC is standing against ACORN, and you are trying to convince me they are good. You call me a wing nut! Wow put the Kool-Aide down and step away from all sharp objects!!!

I am not going to name all the problems ACORN has from the years of fraud to the investigations in many states from Nevada to right here in NM. Remember the break in that only "Republican" registrations were stolen?

I am not even sure why I am spending any time typing this becasue you are one of those who thinks the "Bush Government" carried out the attack on the Twin Towers, you are a crazy, but keep typing it is people like you that are pushing everyone back to the Republican Party.

As to your question about what has the Republican Party done in 30 years? Can we say Liberated Millions of Eupropeans by crushing Communism? What rock have you crawled from under? That is only 1 thing and I am not going to waste my time spelling everything out for you maybe you should read a little history. Before 30 years ago we freed the slaves, gave woman the right to vote, and faught folks like Sen. Gore (VP's Dad) and Sen. Bird to pass the Civil Rights Ammendment to name only a few others. Wow you really like the sound of your own voice don't you? Do you read this stuff out load as you are typing it?

I am not sure how to begin, but I will start by saying I have never taken joy in others failures. As a matter of fact you don't hear the majority of folks on the conservative side wishing President Obama fails or is hurt in some way. Can you say that about how you liberals acted during the Bush Administration? If there is anyone who wants to see folks fail just to prove a point how about the Democrats in DC who voted against funding our troops in harms way, regardless of how you felt or feel about the war making sure the Americans that are there are safe and have the tools they need should not be a political question but it is for Democrats. SO before you get on your "High Horse" a little visit of recent history should slow you down!

As to your comments about housing I do not wish to see folks "homeless" but the answer is not the Government FORCING businesses to do things they know will not work, like loaning money to people with out a job. When the Government continues to guarantee those loans eventually it became to much. This is the same thing happening with Health Care, you are truly dishonest in the discussion. Tell me who is dying due to a lack of health care? The current law requires EVERYONE to be treated in a Hospital Emergency room regardless of if you can pay. We have indigent funds set up in every county, tell me who is dying because of a lack of care??? Not a single person but just like the Housing Issue, you Democrats feel like everyone has a RIGHT to a Cadillac regardless of what they are willing to do to contribute to the cost of the purchase or the operation of that Cadillac. Your entitlement philosophy is destroying our country. So if anyone wants to see this country fail in order to prove themselves right it is you reckless Far Left Democrats who believe the end justifies the means no matter what?

You my friend are the selfish and ugly person in this discussion just like the rest of the Far LEft (Michale Moore) Democrats who think Cuba's Health Care system is a model we should all follow. Or who could care less about the cost becasue you never think anything through, you feel and that is as far as it goes. I for one join the millions of Americans, and that number is growing everyday, that are tired of your dishones, selfish, self serving, hatful comments to folks who disagree with you on any issues. You can not have a civil discussion with folks like yo becasue facts are useless, you do not think you feel and the way you "FEEL" trumps actuall facts since they are based on more then gut feelings!

By the way why haven't we pulled out of Iraq or Afghanasstas? Didn't President Obama PROMISE to do that right away? I guess leading is a lot different then campaigning:)

Lets start with your comment about corruption on "Wall Street", I think everyone but you and CNN know we have Barney Frank and the rest of his Democrate friends in DC to thank for the Housing problem that lead to the financial fall out on Wall Street. I mean come on they think "everyone" should have their own house even if they are unable to pay for it, now they want to do the same thing with Health Care?

I know this is an "opinion" piece but good god you can at least act like you care about facts a little!

I am thankful for one thing, with Liberals like you on the front line clearly you folks will not be incharge very long and I thank God for that every night. Keep it up you only help shine light on the NUTS in the left, which far out weigh the NUTS on the right. Whats next from you a piece about how great ACORN is?

By the way the judge dropped the case, a judge from Texas. A Judge who knew neither me nor anyone involved dropped all the charges but once again I am sure that means nothing to you because you offer nothing of substance as usual.

But I will add I am glad you are logging on and reading, or in your case maybe having someone read it to you. Keep coming to my articles and spending a few minutes learning something, see that wasn't painful was it?

It is interesting that the people who claim to "report" the news are also working with these organizations and taking their money?????

These guys clearly crossed the line and influenced an election period. They should be proud of that and they should follow the law and register. What are they hiding? Why are they against telling people who they get their money from?

Unless you are ashamed of who is funding your organization, or the people funding you are ashamed of you or maybe just maybe the money you are getting is illegal or not being used for the purpose you sold your contributors on?

This stinks and these organizations should be held to the same legal standard everyone else is.

donavon you brought up the President, I was just stating I didn't agree with him and was not afraid to say so. Unlike the many Democrats who get on here and talk trash and attack me and Republicans, they are silent on this issue and the many other issues.

I am just pointing out just about every problem with ethics in this state has a Democrat involved and nobody wants to talk about that. The Democrats have had every office from Gov to SOS the Legislature to the AG and nobody will do anything about this. If the Democrats in NM cared, truley cared, about fixing this problem they would. Instead they look the other way and allow these actions to continue without trying to fix it, or allow someone else to fix it. This is exactly why we are the laughing stock of the rest of the country.

I am in no way defending President Bush I believe he has made some real bad decisions. I will say though believing in a separation of powers and executive privilege is a lot different then taking money from needy families to feed your own greed! The usual folks who want to attack the President and or Republicans here every chance they get seem to be silent on this issue and that speaks volumes of their integrity.

I appreciate your comments. We have moved the oversight to the NM Mortgage Finance Authority and still need more control and there are those who continue to fight getting more control and oversight, I am not sure why but they are. We also need to ask the State Investment Council why and how this happend they had a role in watching this before they allowed them to even get these bond dollars.

I am shocked at how little the response is from the "usual" crowd, i guess it is tough for even them to defend the actions of their fellow Democrats, but I must say seems to be a pattern here amongst Democrats in NM?????????????

Wow that is very profound! But, anyone with any common sense knows it is a simple question. Maybe you should think why you are for this. I mean if you can not defend your position then you should question that position.

I can defend my position. I believe allowing a person to decide if they want a union in a private vote is right and just. It has allowed unions to be successful 60% of the time. What that tells me is 40% of the time workers have chosen NOT to have a union. You and your union "friends" do not believe the 40% should have the right to have said no, I disagree. I value the opinions of people who do not agree with me you my friend do not! You believe in 100% period and will force the 40% to do what they voted against and that is wrong.

You can not defend your belief because you are wrong and when people like me will not just let you threaten, intimidate or berate me into doing what you want you just get madder. I am not angry, I know I am here for the 40%, the minority, that you, your union friends and the Democrat Party have spent a lifetime trying to take advantage of. I will not go away and either will the millions of working Americans who do not agree with you and your union pals. I am here for them and there is nothing you or your pals can do about that!

Unless you have something to offer that is based in facts or states your opinion in a way other then attacking I am done with you!

I am not demanding anything from you all I have been doing is posing a simple question to you that for some reason you are afraid to answer.

I have never claimed to be more "powerful" then you. Clearly more thoughtful but never claimed to be more powerful.

I guess protecting a persons right to vote in private is something you really could care less about.

That my friend is the difference between you and me I value a persons ability to keep their vote private, you for some reason are against that.

Well I hate to sound like a broken record but your tirade sounds nice and I have not said you shouldn't have the right to join a union. I just want you or anyone else to tell us why voting in private is bad? WHY? Everything you have offered up earlier is illegal and can be prosecuted under the current law but once again I fail to see how taking away a persons right to vote in private helps everything stated earlier, how?

We have been at this for almost a week and not one, count it ONE, example of why taking away a persons right to vote in private is good for anyone. Anyone except maybe the union!

Why are you against letting someone vote in private?

That is the Liberty I am talking about and so did our founding fathers. You think it is ok for someone to cast their vote with someone breathing down their neck, I say your vote is your voice and it should be cast in private.

I have never said you can't "ask them" to join a union, ask them all you want let them vote in private.

It is funny how you fail to address the main theme of this article which is allowing people to vote in private? For some reason some of you think it is OK for the Union Boss to visit you at your home and "make you an offer you can't refuse" versus allowing you to go behind a curtain and vote the way you actually feel.

I also want to tell you I am totally against the bail outs in DC, these businesses should sink or swim based on their business model not on the government bailing them out PERIOD!

I am not anti-work, as a matter of fact I celebrate work and believe that you should not have to pay dues to some group just to actually work. I guess we will disagree about that point though, you think it is ok to make people pay a group of guys a percentage of their pay just to have a job and I think that is wrong. I am not against Unions I just believe it is wrong to mandate that in order to work anywhere you have to join a Union.

Why not let the people vote in private if they want to belong to a Union and leave it at that. I guess a 60% success ratio isn't good enough for these groups, with this in place maybe there odds will increase to 100%. Sounds like an election in Russia or the last few elections for Hugo Chavez.

If the fairness Doctrine is going to be revived how about on college campuses? How about the main stream media when they clearly are leaning one way instead of fair and balanced?

Why do Liberals believe that everytime the "market' sorts out the problems, Fox News the most watched in the United States and Air America DONE, why then is it your job to change what people want? Why do you think you know so much more then the average American? Maybe they have spoken and they don't trust main stream media. Maybe they trust Fox News more then they do NBC or CBS, that is sad but seems to be true.

Maybe instead of going after "talk radio hosts" we should be looking at making sure students have access to all ideas instead of just dominating our campuses with Liberal thoughts. Maybe we should make sure that all "main stream" media is fair and balanced before we go after those that can succeed in the free market. So if the "fairness doctrine" is coming back lets begin with the organizations my tax dollars are funding like schools and the "free airwaves" of main stream media.

Jeeter not that it matters to you but I did not vote for most of these budgets and at times was a lone voice against this spending. I do not read Monahan because he is one of if not the worst blogger in NM maybe the country but that probably explains why you do read him.

My reason for not reading him is proven with the comments you credit him with. He has attacked me for not voting for these budgets in the past and how soon he forgets. I can tell you that usually most if not all Republicans in the House voted against these crazy spending ideas and we were attacked by people like Monahan and yourself for those votes, now that we are proven correct you want to accuse us of being part of the problem? Come on!

Apparently you care about my "tirades" because you seem to comment every time I write and I welcome your comments. And to call Joe Monahan a Republican has to be one of the funniest comments I have ever read.

Maybe Monahan could learn from people like Heath Haussamen who take the time to disclose who is paying them and their blog unlike Monahan who takes money from individuals and causes then writes about those issues or attacks the people his financial supporters ask him to, he is nothing more then the "National Enquirer" of the NM bloggers and has ZERO credability...........

babyfatt you must be kidding? I am not going to reprint my article on the history of the Democrat Party but I encourage you to read it. Those racist you speak of all were Democrats and almost everyone of them died a Democrat. The racist hate filled comments you speak of continue to come from the Democrat side of the isle as did the KKK as a wing of the Democrat Party.

Remember Dr. Kind and Dr. Abernathy were both Republicans as were the founders of the NAACP, but I am sure yo will have an answer for that as well.

I would encourage you to read a little about history and the so called "southern strategy" and look at stuff from folks like Michael Baron who talk about why the South went for Republicans. I am sure there are some racist folks out there but it had to do with secularism and the move to the hard left by the democrats on things like abortion and prayer in schools. Stop trying to spit out tlaking points that are false, no matter how many times people say them they still are false.........
