Mary Ellen Daly O'brien reminds me of an old fashion Soviet, Russian style politician , perhaps a
Boris Yeltsin. Will 5 names make a speech on the roof top of the Woolworth building?

I am excited however that this is Mary Ellen's last term in office . I am confident that the voters of Haverhill will not vote for her in the next election cycle.

Once again the Eagle tribune's slobbering love affair with Jim Fiorentini. Please !!! Fiorentini is a second rate politician in a mid size city. Other senators would probably run the other way when they saw him coming.

Mr. Regan, why do you guys at the tribune worship Fiorentini? Fiorentini is such a far cry from Baddour who is skilled and knows the how to accomplish things . Senator Baddour brings people together , Mayor Fiorentini and the tribune like causing conflict.

As for Manzi maybe he could pull it off but I still think a well known Republican has a shot , but none have expressed interest yet in the seat.

Great ideas by both Russo and Amirian, then I keep reading and scroll down to City Councilor Michael McGonagle and I'm not surprised.

City Councilor Michael McGonagle wants to have a party with his family which makes up almost half the population in Haverhill.

How on earth can Garrison golf course hold his entire family? Perhaps City Councilor Michael McGonagle will want the city to buy Garrison. Either way, break out you best threads and make your way up to the KEG.

Who cares about the issues, lets just have a party!

Russo, great ideas!

The city could benefit from someone who has an original thought. If you notice most incumbents say nothing of importance such as (Mary Ellen 5 names O'brien) is she nails on a chalk board or what. Mary Ellen is the Queen of KNOW-NOTHING

I wonder if Dave Hall was ever involved in a think tank hmmm....

Your points are well thought out. I want to thank you for not wanting to hire a private investigator seems to be the bonehead thing to do these days (ask the vice president of the silly council)

You have my vote Russo , hopefully you beat out Hall, Macek and Mary Ellen 5 names.

This is the best news I have heard in Haverhill in sometime. Now if only Councillor Scatamacchia, Councillor 5 names Obrien and Macek lose it will be Christams in November.

I think I just saw a Bill Macek advertisement on the tribune website. Isn't he the councillor that missed too many council meetings?

Councillor Scatamacchia really has no idea what he is doing. Why didn't the councilor do his homework?

It is surprising that Councillor Scatamacchia would want to waste tax payers money on more private investigators. I'm also not voting on Mary Ellen (5 names O'brien ) She is nails on a chalk board. Councilor 5 names Obrien is a know it all but in reality she knows nothing.

The problem I see here is that the mayor didnot have a Mandate . The other problem I see is that
Scatamacchia thinks it is ok .

The mayor is an attorney and Scatamacchia works with stiffs either way No mandate exists . These two public officials have served long enough in government.
Does anyone care about the truth? Can the mayor spend almost a half a million dollars with out the mandate he claimed to have?

Councilor Hall did a great job letting the people know what was going on yesterday.

My question to Councilor Hall is!! What are you going to do when you are not a councilor? I think you are headed for 12th place. Will you get a job at a local breakfast spot or perhaps do details for the police or is that job already taken. Will Bill Mack and McGonagle take you out to breakfast finally.

The mayor doesnot want to see John Curtin win because of the water issue on Brandy brow . Russo and Miller can pull off a victory becaue people are sick and tired of this do nothing city council.
ROBERT SCATAMACCHIA doesnot contribute to the debate. Haverhill has to reaize that you must bring something to the table other than being a nice guy.Everyone knows that SCATAMACCHIA supports everything the mayor says (disgusting)

Councilor Bill Macek has a real poor record of showing up for work. The firefigters have their share of issues but what about the politicians and the Tuesday night flu Macek comes down with.

Councilor Hall thinks people are listening to him and causes more problems than he solves. Councilor McGonagle wated a trash tax and also wanted the city to buy a golf course.

I think Curtin and Russo will win and Miller has an outside shot.
