Thank you all. I only wanted to share a schematic, which is why its hazy. Resumator is right about this being ATS-unfriendly; I have a good old RTF version that I use there.

Yes, you need a visa for Singapore when you're transferring to a low-cost carrier. If you take SQ throughout, you might not need one. But that's true with Bangkok as well, where you will need a Thai visa to transfer to the low-cost terminal.

Jobeet was what made me use Sf1.4. Symblog is what will make me stick to Symfony. I was under the impression that Doctrine2 did not support behaviours. Glad to know it does!

Thanks a ton for this post, and I will be amazed if this actually solves my problem.

Another workaround I found was to use multiple fixture files, and then break the load task to load selected files at a time.

To manage fixtures in a better way, I created a small utility in MS Excel to convert CSV data to YAML fixtures. http://www.prasadgupte.com/...

Yes, its not the best way to get the dbname, but what I usually do is add my own parameter (non-std) "dbname" to the databases.yml file to make it easier

Another point to note, when using Named inline relation definitions for a 1-1 relation, I get the error:
Unknown record property / related component "person_bs_homenumber" on "PhoneNumber"

So sadly, the named-object cannot be referred again in the fixture. And that's a bad thing :(

Thank you very much; fortunately I found it for the 'doctrine fixture inline' search in Google.

Fixtures are very interesting & helpful. I wrote a small utility (in MS Excel) to convert CSV data to YAML. It's not well equipped to handle relations, but can be handled using named-inline definition.
