Consider me a signatory. I will vote no, simply because we have not been presented with any plan for leaving Civil Service. As noted in the SCIG report, this is what every other town that has left Civil Service has done. A yes vote is a vote for a pig in a poke. Do better, BoS.

For the next update of this article, the authors should note that YNAB will no longer honor their $50/yr offer for previous users. They now offer a 10% discount, which is peanuts and, of course, does not preclude future subscription price increases. I used the offline version of YNAB for many years and found it useful as a tool and as a budgeting philosophy, despite its limitations. The last version of that (v4) is no longer supported, so I'm not going to keep putting data into that. The online version makes me nervous, in part for the reasons given below about dicey financial institution import and seeming indifference to the security issues of keeping one's financial data in the cloud. I understand their move to a subscription model, but at this price point, YNAB no longer represents a value proposition for me. It was good while it lasted, and anyone who can afford it should give it a look, if only to check out their approach to budgeting.

Both articles are perfectly clear. Something in your mind seems to want to make them more complicated than they actually are, presumably in order to reach a conclusion to which you are irrationally wedded. Good luck with that.

I am only commenting on the article that was linked to. I am not going to read the man's entire opus in order to reply to a comment on a comment. That said, McCarthy has also trafficked in some pretty ludicrous conspiracy theories, including the idea that Bill Ayers authored Obama's book and an entire book claiming that the Obama administration was promoting Sharia Law. That's some pretty crazy batsh*t right there.

Irrelevant. That piece attacks an argument that I have not made, namely that "there is no such thing as a perjury trap." Did you even read it, or did you just automatically link to it because it was published by The National Review?

Prof. Dershowitz's argument is misleading and assumes its own conclusion. He assumes that the sole piece of information the investigators wanted was a yes or no answer to the question of whether Flynn was lying. That's pretty unlikely! Much more likely, they were trying to get as much relevant information as they could from Flynn. In order to do so, they are not obliged to tell Flynn everything they already know. That would simply be ridiculous and make it impossible to investigate anything. The fact that Flynn proceeded to lie about *anything* under these circumstances is obviously an attempt to obstruct the investigation. If he weren't "singing" he would rightly be going up the river for a loooong time.

I agree that to call exercising constitutional provisions of the law 'radical' is ridiculous. At the same time, it should be noted that the 25th Amendment only took effect in 1967--no 'founders' involved!

Williams has been a real disappointment. He came in on a wave of protest against the BoT's composition at the time, in the same election that passed the override. I voted for him, too, but I have to admit that I had my doubts about where he stood on much of anything. I still don't know where he stands on much of anything. I'm grateful that Adam Dash has had the intelligence to perceive the disfunction on the BoT and the Planning Board and the courage to speak about it and vote accordingly. Let's keep this shameful episode in mind as the next BoT election approaches.

FIrst of all, it still means "*suffering* unto you" (a threat, i.e., you shall suffer misery, usually by the hand of god), not "fearfulness unto you." Moreover, you didn't use it in that phrase, so fear doesn't enter the picture at all. And it's "you're," not "your." It's like remedial English class around here.
