To take nothing away from Xander (his is a great story), calling him Hull's Billy Elliot is misleading. Hull's Billy Elliot is Liam Mower, who was the original Billy in Billy Elliot The Musical, attended the Royal Ballet School and is now dancing with Matthew Bourne's troupe.

For the record, the newest Billy in London, Elliott Hanna, is the 34th Billy on the VPT stage and the 71st world-wide (http://www.theskykid.com/bi.... Great pictures, Nikki. I'm sure Leon is very happy with them.

Actors Equity has specific rules with regard to how actors are listed in programs and on official show websites. While technically people like Laura Marie Duncan, Stephen Hanna and Thommie Retter have a named role (Dead Mum, Older Billy, Mr. Braithwaite) AND are also members of the ensemble for other numbers in the show, I've opted not to list them twice. If they have a named role in the program, that's where they are listed on the charts.

As someone who follows the show closely, including reading about everything that's printed at Billy Elliot the Forum (and therefore see a lot of Billy Elliot fanatics' comments), I think you've done an excellent job of describing what the pain is like for those who love the show and have had it taken away from them (including those in the closed productions of Australia, Korea, Chicago and Toronto). It also goes a long way in describing why so many people have gone back to see the show countless times. Well done, Lindsay and thanks for making such a great contribution to theskykid.com.

Thanks for the update on Tommy, Rivenmaster. He's a very talented young man who, despite having such success at a tender age, has remained a down-to-earth, genuine person. As you've pointed out, if you saw him in Billy Elliot the Musical, you have to come away shaking your head and asking "How will he top that?" After having interviewed him recently regarding his involvement with the soon to be made movie, The Prize Guys, I'm convinced that his brightest days are ahead of him.

It's great that you continue to use your celebrity for great causes, Trent. It's also great that you continue to share your life experiences with your friends and fans here on your blog.

As has been stated, from the photos it looks like you had a great time. Bart gave your fans an overview of the trip on the Billy Elliot the Forum site (in your thread there). You didn't mention your statue though. Could you tell us a little about your reaction to being presented with the statue?

This very recent version of Electricity, as performed on Britain's popular Alan Titchmarsh Show, featured three of the four Billys on the London stage. The song is actually song by Dean-Charles Chapman, who is joined by Fox Jackson-Keen and Tom Holland for the dance portion of the number. For viewers not familiar with Billy Elliot the Musical, the dance styles of the three boys is really contrasted in this video. Dean is what is called a "ballet Billy", his main strengths and background are in ballet. The other two are called "modern or street Billys" as their strengths are in that type of dance, with a good amount of acro thrown in for good measure. A nice job by the three. Unfortunately, they traditionally only seem to do elaborate celebrations in London, which they consider the "mother ship" so to speak. Hopefully, as you say, that will change.

Actually I've read one of the past Billys said they only rehearsed during the one week beginning on the Sunday prior to the 5th anniversary show. But still, they would have had to have been there all week -- and as you said -- that would be an expense. But imo, they have the money and the American Billys should have been invited as all of them are considered to be among the most popular and most successful Billys who ever played Billy on the London stage -- including the young gent who owns this blog who holds all the records for longevity as Billy. As an aside -- I've read that George Maguire didn't actually dance in the Finale of that show. He came out with the other two originating Billys (Liam and James) at the beginning of the Finale, and then lined up with all the Billys for the bows at the end -- the reason being other committments prevented him from being at the rehearsals.

People are confused by the "19" and "22" numbers. There have been 22 boys who have played Billy on the London stage. There were 19 past, present and future Billys at the 5th anniversary. The key though to that last sentence is the word "future" as 2 of the 19 present have not yet played the role but are Billys in training (Scott McKenzie and Aaron Watson). So there were actually 17 of the 22 boys present who have played the role - meaning there were five absent. Those five were the American boys who played the role in London (Trent Kowalik, Tanner Pflueger, Corey Snide, Colin Bates and Hogan Fulton). They were either not invited or chose not to attend.

Jordan definitely has "the Look". It's amazing how much talent he has at such a young age and, as bestpi says in the article, he will only get better as he gets older. The other comment I'd have is that he is a genuinely nice person and hasn't let any of the notoriety he's received "go to his head". He's very grounded and down to earth. Nothing but the best to him as his career continues to blossom!
