It really can be horribly distracting. I spend way too much time agonizing over which new shiny thing to use for a side project (that I'll never finish).

Re: Letting a Side Project Die

I still keep a list of things I may work on, but I don't buy domains for them anymore. I'm sort of afraid to try working on any of my current 5 favorites. :)

Re: Why I Still Use Firefox

It's the slowest of the three for me too. It wasn't on purpose. I think some book came out that I really wanted to listen to and I fell off the podcast wagon. By the time I got back I didn't care as much anymore. Blasphemous, I know.

I will check out all the others you mentioned.

Re: Why I Still Use Firefox

It's weird to me that there are still "works best in X" sites out there. Some situations truly are crappy. There have been plenty of times I've needed an outlet. The difference is you gave it 110% to make make things work while I put in 70% and complained a lot. :)

Re: Complaining About Work

I'm definitely up for it. I'm glad you woke up. (understatement)

I actually lost a laptop a few years back and it was awesome not having to worry about it (full backup + the hard drive had been fully encrypted). I use Backblaze for online backup. It's pretty cheap and works perfectly. I also hear good things about CrashPlan. And BitCasa, but they're still in closed beta.

Re: http://bigbags.tumblr.com/post/10806247739

I would very much like a magic brownie that'll take away all my frownies.

Re: http://bigbags.tumblr.com/post/2596607068

bahahahaha

Re: http://bigbags.tumblr.com/post/2408413177

What you don't see is the guy holding his pee while he stands in the freezing cold for 10 hours.

Re: PHP Docblock Generator plug-in for Coda is Better, Faster, Stronger

Love it.
